The phone starts to obnoxiously ring. Robin ignores the sound and grabs the blanket to cover her head. The phone continues to ring.

"Oh my god stoppp," she groans. Robin throws the blanket that was on her onto the floor and stares at the phone; she reaches for it but fails to grab it. Finally she gives in and falls out of bed to answer.

"It's too early, can we talk later whoever this is," Robin complained, half asleep.
"Well its noon actually, but thats besides the point. I was wondering if you would like to grab ice cream with me? I know we don't hang out much but it'd be fun," a voice, who seemed to be Nancy came out of the phone.

"Ice cream?" Robin asked.
"Yeah, like from the icecream shop down the road. We could go in like a half hour?"

Robin stood there with messy hair, and pajamas still on.
"Oh uh sure sure! Just let me get ready I literally just woke up."
"Great! I'll come at 12:30, see you."

Robin heard a static noise after Nancy had hung up on the other end. Wait, didn't she have work, she thought. It was in fact a Saturday, and she doesn't have work on Saturdays (which is the only day she doesn't).

Robin walked over to her closet and stood there for a while staring at her clothes. She for some reason felt the need to dress nice to go get ice cream. Maybe it was because Nancy was so pretty compared to her? Who knows.

----------------------------------

Robin found herself getting into Nancy's car later for the second time ever. The first time was when she had to get a haircut but couldn't drive there herself. Steve was busy at the time too, so she had one other person to ask.

Nancy interrupted her thoughts and said, "Rob?"
"Oh uh yes? Sorry." She glanced at Nancy for a second and almost died from how pretty she was. Even though she was wearing normal clothes, unlike Robin who tried to look good, she was still really pretty in Robin's eyes.

Nancy looks back at the road, coming to a stop.
"Oh nothing, just that you weren't replying to me so I was checking in on you. But we're here." Nancy turns the car off.
"Wait you were talking? I mean, oh god sorry I am really tired."

They get out of the car and Robin orders cookie dough while Nancy orders plain vanilla.
"Nance?"
"Yes Robin?"
"Why'd you ask to go here? It just seemed out of nowhere," Robin questioned because they don't hang out that much and it was odd for her to ask randomly to hang out. Especially without Steve or her other friends.

"Here's your icecream ladies, enjoy!" The man behind the counter said.
"There's not really a particular reason, I just felt like we don't hang out much and I would like to get closer to you and maybe get to know you," Nancy spoke while looking at Robin the whole time. Robin glanced back and forth at her because she doesn't like eye contact that much.

Robin admired Nancy for the 2 seconds she looked at her while she was speaking. She was also probably bright pink. And what did she mean by closer? She, for some reason, got excited by the word "closer". She didn't have to say anything so she just smiled at Nancy. Nancy smiled back, a genuine smile.

"Shes so pretty," Robin accidentally spit out. Nancy looked at Robin for a second, before saying, "Thank you, so are you." Robin was too embarrassed to thank her, so she just awkwardly laughed.

After Nancy dropped Robin off and they said bye to eachother, Robin immediately went to her phone and dialed a number. It rung for a few seconds, then someone picked up.

"OH MY GOD STEVE YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE IT," Robin started spilling out.
"Woah woah what? What happened is it bad or good?"
"Me and NANCY went on a ICE CREAM DA- HANGOUT!"
"Really?! Was it a date?"
"No! No, of course not, just a friends thing? Plus, I barely know her. We just became friends the other day. And she is straight as a line."
"Sure Robin. I wasn't THAT excited when i hung out with Eddie for the second time."

Robin made a face at that.
"Yes you were! You called me and told me everything about it dingus! Wait, do you like Eddie?!"
"No! No no! We are just friends."
"I so believe that."

Robin and Steve joked around a little more until one had to go. Robin still could not believe that she hung out with Nancy today. But she was still confused why she turned pink earlier, or why she is so excited to hang out with her new friend. She had one thing in mind that explained those emotions, but decided to ignore it.
