Nancy's pov
——————————————————

Nancy sits at the table eating breakfast while thinking about Robin. More specifically questions she had of Robin. Why is Robin acting weird around her suddenly? She decides to ask the one person who knows her best, Steve. But it's a week day so she'll have to drive to the new store he works at, Family Video.

Mike walks into the kitchen and says, "Hey Nancy I have a qu-

"Got to go I have no time ask me later!"She finishes eating breakfast and runs out the door.

Nancy walks in the store and sees that Steve is talking to someone. She walks up to the counter. Robin notices her before Steve does.
"Oh hey Nance! Surprised to see you here! What are you buying?"
"Hey Robin, I'm not here to buy anything I just need to talk to Steve."
Steve glances over and does a hand motion that reads "one second".

"Oh, ok uh yeah he'll be done talking to that girl in a second," Robin made a face that seemed disappointed. Steve finishes talking to the customer and faces Nancy.

"Hey Nancy, whatcha need?"
"Can we.. Talk for a second?" Nancy asks him. Steve nods and leads her to a different room in the store so Robin can't hear.
"Yeah? What is it?"
Nancy thinks carefully of her wording choice before asking, "Does Robin act weird around you?"
"I mean yeah shes allways weird, kind of just her personality y'know?" Steve leans against the wall with his arm.

"Yeah no I know, but I mean unusually weird? Turning red at random times, stuttering a lot, you know..?" Nancy watches as Steve makes a face of confusion.
"No, not really. I mean stuttering yeah but the rest, I'm pretty sure not. Why?"

Then Steve makes a face that shows he knows what is up.
"Well- Wait why are you making that face?"
"What face?"
"That face!"
"I'm not making any kind of face!"
"Fine, I was going to ask if you know why shes acting weird but she isn't around you so nevermind."

"No I know why," Steve then says.
"You do? Why?"
"I can't say though."
Nancy looks disappointed as she hears that.

"Okay well I'm going to go.. Bye!" Nancy sighs and leaves the shop.
"Bye Nance! Maybe we can han..." Nancy heard from Robin's voice fade as she walked out the store. She was only a little annoyed that she had no clue why Robin is acting weird.

She had one idea though, a horrible one, to ask Robin herself. She knew Robin was going to finish work soon so she'd just show up to her house after. But it'd be really awkward and she hopes it won't upset her.

—————————————————

Nancy rung the doorbell. No one answered. She rung it again and again.
"Where is she, jeez," she whispered to herself. Finally Robin answered the door.

"Hi." Robin mummers.
"Hey Rob, can I come in? Sorry for showing up uninvited," Nancy says.
"Its alright, I wasn't doing anything anyways."

Nancy walks in to her house for the second time ever. They go up to her room and sit on her bed.
"Why'd you come?" Robin asked, seeming more un-energetic than usual.
"I have a odd question."
"Yea?"

"Why have you been acting, unusual around me lately?" Nancy regretted asking because she doesn't want to hurt Robin's feelings.

Robin opens her mouth but nothing comes out. She looks down.
"I- I don't know.. Sorry.."
She completely regretted asking and by instinct, Nancy puts her hand on Robin's and she felt the warmth of touch. She kind of liked it actually. Robin flinched by the touch, probably not expecting it.

"Rob don't apologize, i'm not upset or anything and actually forget about it, it doesn't matter anymore," Nancy reassures immediately. Robin looks at Nancy with teary eyes and hugs her without thought. Nancy didn't expect that, but she still hugged back rubbing Robin's back for comfort.

Nancy didn't know why she enjoys hugs so much. Especially hugging Robin. Her hugs are just.... Different.

"Sorry Nance, its not because of what you asked it's just, not a good day you know. And in fact i'm glad you came over, i've been feeling down," Robin says as shes hugging Nancy. Nancy didn't realize that they're holding hands, but Robin definitely did.

"Don't apologize Robin, I understand." Nancy pulls away even though she didn't want to. Robin squeezes Nancy's hand, causing Nancy to be aware they were holding hands in the first place. She doesn't pull away though since she felt like Robin needed it.

"I know some days are the worst, but i'm here for you okay?" Nancy looks into Robin's beautiful blue eyes.
"Okay," Robin gives a heartwarming smile. Nancy never knew this would happen after going to her house with odd questions. Though, her questions never got answered still.
