Nancy pov
——————Nancy falls on her bed and lets herself get lost in her thoughts. What if Robin secretly finds it gross that she likes girls and boys? What was wrong with her? It wasn't normal to like girls. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't accept herself. Especially the fact she likes.. Robin. It took her forever to actually realize that her feelings weren't platonic for Robin. She would spend days wondering why she would hold Robin's hand and why she felt so comfortable doing so.
"Oh my godd," she complains. She stuffs the nearest pillow in her face. All of these unwanted thoughts were tearing her mind apart. She just wanted to be normal like everyone else around her.
All the sudden, the doorbell rings. She jumps out of her bed and tries to not fall down the stairs. It was.. Robin? What was she doing at Nancy's house at midnight?
She opens the door. "Robin? Its midnight what are you-"
"I couldn't sleep, my mind was being loud like usual sorry," Robin blurts out. Nancy lets Robin in while saying, "Same honestly, my thoughts were practically killing me, so I'm actually glad you're here even though it's late.."
When they headed up to Nancy's room, Nancy takes a second to observe Robin. Her hair wasn't brushed and she was in pajamas. "You good Nance?"
Nancy blinks out of her thoughts. "Oh um yeah sorry," she spits out. They take a seat on Nancy's bed and neither one of them says anything. Then, Nancy lays down. Robin glances at Nancy before quickly looking back away. It was silent, but comfortable. They liked having each other's presence around. Especially Nancy.
Robin then lays down next to Nancy. Nancy turns her head and catches Robin staring at her. Nancy accidentally blurts out, "Your really pretty."
Robin looks back at Nancy. "Really? I'm wearing pajamas and my hair isn't brushed, you don't have to lie." Nancy shakes her head.
"No, I'm being honest. You're always pretty no matter how your hair looks or what you're wearing." What was Nancy even saying? She didn't mean to continue, but the words just kept spilling out.
Robin smiles. Nancy could see it through the darkness. Or more she could just sense that Robin is smiling.
"You are way more pretty than me, with your beautiful hair, your beautiful eyes, and your ado- amazing personality," Robin says. Nancy feels her face heat up. She was glad that it was dark in her room, because if it was, Robin would see her face a shade of red.
After that, there was no more speaking. Just little laughs. Nancy grabbed Robin's hand hoping she would accept it. She did. Robin let her hand sink into Nancy's. They stayed that way for awhile, until eventually Robin fell asleep.
Nancy pokes her to make sure she was really asleep. Robin didn't move, so Nancy assumed she was asleep. She carefully kissed Robin's hand after a bit of considering it. Her hand was soft.
"Have a good night sleep, Robin."
