Robin pov

Robin wakes up, cuddled up against Nancy with Nancy's arm over her. She smiles. Nancy was so cute sometimes. She wants to kiss Nancy so bad right now but she didn't dare to. She then closes her eyes again, not moving away from Nancy's arms.

Not even a half hour later, Nancy wakes up. "Robin your going to be late for work."

"Im not falling for that again." Nancy sits up and says, "Im serious this time, your 2 hours late." Robin falls out of the bed and looks at the clock. Shit, Nancy wasn't kidding.

"Okay uh yeah you weren't lying... Oh god shit I should probably get going-" Robin panics while standing up and fixing her hair. "I better get going the-"

"Wait," Nancy stands up and grabs Robin's hand. Robin makes an "what?" expression.

"Do you want to go on a date tonight?"
Robin raises her eyebrows. Did she hear Nancy correctly?

"A... date?"
"Yes."
"Like a friends date? Or a date date?"
"A date date. Not platonic," Nancy strictly states.

Robin couldn't believe it. Was she being oblivious this whole time? Nancy just asked HER on a date. The girl who she thought was straight as an line.

"Of course! I mean uh- Yeah, sure I'd love to!" Robin scratches the back of her head awkwardly, blushing. Nancy smiles and lets go of Robin's hand.

"I'll pick you up at 8:00, and it will be a surprise for where we are going." Robin smiles back.

"Okay, see you." She leaves Nancy's room.

"I mean I just don't get it is this some sort of prank? Why is NANCY out of all people asking ME on a date?" Robin rambles on and on to Steve, who is rolling his eyes.

"You're just in denial, Robin."
"I am not!"
"Mhm." Steve grins a bit. Robin doesn't say anything any further.

Until, she says, "I mean, I hate to say this but you might be right. Does Nancy actually like me? I mean am I just being oblivious or what? Ughhh, all of this is so confusing to think about!"

"Im pretty sure that you're just oblivious because she definitely likes you." Robin playfully rolls her eyes.

Robin leaves the store and flips the open sign to closed. She turns around and heads to Steve's car, before she hears her name being called. She turns her head to see Nancy waving at her.

"Have fun at your date," Steve winks. "Shut up," Robin jokes. She runs toward Nancy and hugs her. Nancy didn't expect it, yet she hugs her back.

"Nancy I haven't got changed and didn't you say 8-"
"I know I'm early but something came up and we have to go a bit earlier now," she interrupts.
Robin looks into her eyes and mutters, "Yeah no its fine."

"Plus, you already look good so theres no need for you to change. Your pretty," Nancy slowly says. Robin nods. She was getting really nervous around Nancy now, damnit.

—————————————————————

Robin was sitting in the passenger seat, looking out the window. "Where are you bringing us anyways?"

"Secret," Nancy replies. Robin rolls her eyes jokingly.

Then, the car comes to a stop on the side of a road. Robin looks at Nancy. "This is a field-"

"Not just some field, come on get out." Robin exits the car. Out of nowhere, Nancy grabs her hand and runs through the grassy field.

"Trust me on this one," Nancy yells while running so that Robin could hear her. Robin just keeps looking at Nancy and how beautiful she looked.

She looks back at the grassy field and in an distance, there was a group of flowers covering the green blanket of grass. It was a beautiful sight.

"Nancy stops running to catch her breath, but they were already where Nancy planned to bring Robin. "Here we are."

Robin loved it. There were flowers everywhere. Daisies, roses, hibiscus, orchids, name it. Nancy lets go of Robin's hand and lays down in the flowers. Robin follows. The bright sun shined in their eyes.

"Beautiful, how did you find this spot?" Robin asks, staring at the cloudy sky.

Nancy turns her head to look at Robin and her messy hair. "I found it by taking a walk. I like to walk around in fields, and I happen to come across this, beauty."

Robin grabs Nancy's hand, hoping she would not pull away. Nancy kept her hand there. Robin smiles of relief. She felt butterflies in her stomach.

"Robin, I have something to tell you."
"Yeah Nance?"

Somewhere deep inside Robin's heart hoped that she would say she liked her, although it was unlikely.

"I... held your hand that day in the movies." Robin's stomach goes back to feeling normal. She wasn't disappointed, was she? She was surprised Nancy secretly held her hand, but was hoping she had said something else. Maybe she was wrong, and Nancy actually didn't like her.
