Chapter 24.

I put on my feel good dress, bra less and my hair not even brushed or combed, today is one of those days where my pregnancy takes over. I can kill someone today and bury their body then not cry about, then wake up tomorrow and turn myself in crying nonstop.

Jace watched me walking down the stairs, he frowned trying not to laugh, days like this I hate it when he laughs. He looked down at the floor smiling then up at me and the smile was gone. The door just swung open, Siya, Alec, Khaya, Jay and Muzi got in, talking.

I just stopped and looked up at them still arguing, Jace closed his eyes wishing for the floor to open up and swallow him. They're trying to get him killed. They know better than to just barge in, they know how moody she can get and how crazy she can get.

"Mrs J, we bought you cookies, ice cream, whipped cream, strawberries and...".Khaya read on his list.

"Everything you like is in there".Jay said smiling.

I smiled passing Jace not even saying good morning, I opened the box of cookies and buried my face in them.

"You guys are amazing".

And that was it, they were now seated in the kitchen talking nonstop, blowing Jace's brains out. How did they even get her to laugh? She was ready to kill him thrice for just talking to her. Man, what is wrong with her?.

"Mrs Johnson, we have to go, doctor's appointment".Jace said risking his life, she could throw a knife at him.

"Can't we go tomorrow?".

"No, I can move the appointment to later but it'll have to be today".

I smiled nodding and walked up to him."I love you".

"Don't tell me you gonna kiss now, we're still kids".Khaya said disgusted.

That got me laughing, kids, they are at least 25 or 30. Alec and Khaya look younger than the other four, probably 23. Jay 27 and Muzi looks 4 years older than Siya and Jace who are 25. I like this, the seven of us chilling. Jace held my stomach kissing it. I smiled brushing his hair back.

He stood up helping them bring in boxes of cots and everything needed for the nursery. We still couldn't decide on the paint, he wanted pink, I wanted cream white, just because we think it's a girl does not mean her room has to be pink. That's overrated.

They all decided it was lunch time and they've only been here for half an hour. Alec and Muzi were in charge of food, Jay and Siya of drinks and Khaya and Jace in charge of plates and napkins. Siya was against Khaya and Alec preparing food together, it was gonna take them two hours, one hour of nothing but laughs. They are still young.

"So, Hazel what do you do?".

"I'm a student, I had a job at McDonald's till she happened".

"What are you studying?".

I smiled."Law".

They all just looked at me, Khaya laughed first clapping for me."That's nice, fate brought you two together".

"Yes, it did".

"So will you work for us then?".Muzi asked as serious as he could sound after being l quite for almost an hour.

"No, business and pleasure do not mix".

Alec held his cheek smiling."Do you have a sister who is single?".

"Sadly, no, I'm the only child".

"Damn!".

They all laughed, Jace finding nothing funny, he just gave Alec the look raising his eyebrow, making Alec look away. I laughed kissing my husband. Jealousy doesn't look good on him. His phone rang followed by Siya's and my heart sank, now that I know what he does I'm scared, what if one day he never comes home?.
