"It's okay, Sienna... It's what friends do."

Friends do care for each other and I think I became full of myself to think that his care was something else... Something beyond what a friend can do. Maybe I'm just confused. Maybe overwhelmed? Right. In those maybes, one of them is true. And in this situation, I'm at fault for seeing things differently, for assuming that there's something special about his actions towards me.

What am I even thinking?

Inalis ko ang ulo ko sa pagkakasandal sa dibdib niya at ngumiti. "Yeah... It's what friends do."

I'm his friend and I don't want to be more... I have no plans of being more than just a friend to him. I completely know my boundaries and about the deal, I shouldn't break that. A friend will stay as a friend. I'm not going to risk myself to be more than that in Liam's life.

"Sienna!" Natunugan ng tenga ko ang boses na 'yun kaya napalunok ako. Nagsimula na naman akong kabahan pero kahit gano'n ay humarap ako kay Aly.

"What is it? Is everything okay?" I asked. I saw Aly's attention shifted towards Liam for a moment and there's this confused expression written on his face.

"He's Liam. He's Vien's college friend and he attended your wedding last year. In case you're wondering where you saw him." He must have felt confused to see a man that looked familiar to him. I mean, there's no way he could remember all the guests who attended his wedding.

"Yeah, I remember. Liam Trevor, right?" Inalok ni Aly ang kamay niya kay Liam. Nasa gitna nila ako at panay ang pasalit-salit na tingin ko sa kanila. Ngayon na lang yata sila nagkita ulit.

Tinanggap ni Liam ang kamay ni Aly. "That's me. Nice meeting you again, Mr. Monreal," pagbati niya habang nakangiti pero naging seryoso din siya kaagad. "I heard about what happened to Vien. Is she and the baby okay?"

"Thankfully, both of them are okay... Thanks to Sienna." Tuluyang napako sa akin ang tingin ni Aly at sa titig niya ay parang humupa na ang kaba ko. Hindi ko alam. Sa tuwing andiyan ang presensya niya, hindi mawawala ang kaba ko pero ngayon naglaho 'yun nang hindi ko sinusubukang pilitin ang sarili ko.

"Excuse me, but can I talk with Sienna privately?" He asked permission from Liam.

"Sure. No worries," he replied. After that, Aly gestured his head to walk and that's what I did. We are not that far from Liam. When it's just the two of us, I didn't hesitate to talk.

"Nagising na ba si Vien?"

Umiling si Aly. "Hindi pa. Maya-maya pa siguro." Sumayad ang tingin niya sa mga braso ko. "Are you okay?" Tanong niya at gumuhit sa mukha niya ang pag-aalala. Hindi ko magawang makatingin sa kanya kanina pero ngayon nakakaya ko na nang walang nararamdamang bigat sa dibdib ko.

"Y-Yeah, I'm okay," I replied with a small smile.
