Baguio City.

We arrived at the summer capital early Saturday morning. Dito gaganapin ang wedding ni Jen at isa ako sa mga bridesmaids niya. I am really happy for her. She deserve all the love that she's having right now. Nakakainggit nga sya eh. Mabuti pa siya, nahanap na nya ang kanyang Mr. Right. Ako, I don't know if there's even someone out there waiting for me.

Grande Manor Hotel

Sa pangalan pa lang, the place is quite prestigious. Sa pagkakaalam ko ay pag-aari ito ng parents ng mapapangasawa ni Jen. We will stay at this hotel for a couple of days and all accommodations are free of charge for all wedding guests. I felt relaxed knowing I've got some days off to refresh my tired mind.

Vintage naman ang theme ng wedding ceremony ni Jen at sa malaking lawn ng manor ito gaganapin on Sunday afternoon. Everything is prepared and I plan on exploring the city after.

"OMG! Nandito na ang doktorang single na maganda!" I saw Jamy at Julie when I entered the hotel's lobby. My God I missed them!

"Girls! I miss you both!" We exaggeratedly hugged each other dahil literal na mahigit isang dekada na kaming hindi nagkita-kita.

Napansin ko naman na may mga guys silang kasama. I suddenly felt out of place.

"Julie, I'm really sorry hindi ako nakapunta sa wedding mo noon." I recalled that Julie was married two years ago.

"Hay nako tampo talaga ako sa'yo Yani. I planned you to be my maid of honor pa naman. But it's okay, I understand your situation sa states. By the way, meet my husband Bryan."

"Nice meeting your Bryan." I shook hands with Julie's husband. Pogi ah! I heard he's a police officer. Kaya pala medyo astig ang dating.

"Aaand! Yani baby, meet my boyfie, Chris." Singit naman ni Jamy. I smiled and said hello to Chris na medyo mahiyain. Opposite of Jamy, really.

"Hmm Yani. Wala ka bang ipapakilala sa'min?" Tanong ni Julie na para bang nananunukso pa as she pointed to someone behind our backs.

"Oh. My. God. Invited rin pala si Ethan?" Napukaw ang atensyon namin nang magsalita si Jamy while looking at the guest entering the lobby door.

He is wearing a pair of aviator sunglasses matching his fitted white polo shirt and summer shorts. He looked simply casual yet dashing and fresh at the same time.

When he saw us chatting on the side of the lobby, he immediately went towards us. Napasimangot ako. Ayoko sana siyang makita. Palagi siyang tumatawag sa clinic ko pero hindi ko sinasagot. Nakakainis. Bakit ba ngayon pa sya magpapapansin?

Nang makalapit si Ethan sa amin ay nagbatian sila. Hindi ko na lang sya pinansin. Alam din naman nila Jamy at Julie ang nangyari kaya hindi na sila nagtaka.

"Ahem," Ethan cleared his throat. "bakit parang iniiwasan ako nitong kaibigan nyo?" He asked and he's pertaining to me.

The girls just shrugged pretending not to know something about us. Ako naman ay patay-malisya lang sa isang tabi. I actually wanted to greet him but my ego inside is yelling at me not to. Until now, masyado pa ring mataas ang pride ko. But I think this is the only hope I can have to save my heart from drowning.
