I don't turn around, and only cycle even faster. I can still hear Jerome's laugh though I am miles away from the crime scene.

At the circus, I can see Luna and some other acrobats walking around the locker rooms.

For a moment I get lost in my thoughts, but it quickly changes when I smell Luna's sweet perfume. I turn to see her leaning against the wall, arms folded.
"Where were you?" she asks, raising an eyebrow.
"At home, I forgot to set the alarm."
For a moment I think she doesn't believe it.
"Strange," she says. "That will never happen to you." I laugh a little about it.

I put on my suit and answer some more questions from Luna. Maybe I'm just a good liar? Because it doesn't look like she doesn't believe me or anything.

"We'll talk after the practice show, okay?" Her voice sounds thinner than before.
"Fine." Luna's hand disappears from my shoulder. Pooh pooh, just in the nick of time.

I leave the locker room as she does. I know Luna means well. She cares about me.

I walk into the large rehearsal room and am almost blinded by the bright light. The show lights are already on. It is important that we can see everything well, imagine we miss the rings due to lack of light. I feel so at home here. Who would have ever thought I could train with the Lloyds and the Graysons? I almost don't believe it myself.

Luna and Mary are talking a short distance away. From here on I can't quite understand what they're talking about, but it probably won't be very important so I'm starting to stretch. For a moment I don't pay attention, and I bump into someone. "Sorry," pops out of my mouth before I can see who it is. Oh shit, it's Charles, one of the acrobats. "It's okay." He says. I swear I hadn't seen him. How awkward, Luna and Mary must have seen it. I thought. Until I turned around and saw that they were no longer there. Strange, but soon afterward I also realize that I probably heard them howling with laughter if they were still there. "I was not paying attention." Flops out again.

In situations like this, I hardly realize what I'm talking about. "Don't worry, I wasn't looking either." Why doesn't he just walk away? Can't he see I'm busy? "I got you some water because we have a busy schedule today." Then he walks away.
"Th-Thanks!"

Weird, but it seems like he's been stalking me lately. He won't succeed! I have enough things on my mind right now. The bell rings, time to take our spot.

After the show, I check my phone. No new messages from family, but I was added on my phone by one 'Dog11.' sounds weird. Still, I'll add it back. Maybe it's Jerome who figured out how to change his name or something.

I don't immediately think something strange about it. It also reminds me of the envelope that Jerome wanted to give me earlier today, it can't be my father's. Duh. I put my hair in a messy bun and fly out the door and head home.

Jerome pov:

I wiggle my legs over the building as Aaron throws another man over it. Damn, this gives me such a wonderful feeling! I can easily get rid of all that anger I have in me when I'm dealing with the Maniax.
"Perfect. Next."

Is that y/n over there? I can't see it from up here, it's miles away. I do recognize her walk though, without a doubt I assume it's her, oh how proud she must be of me! She pushes herself through the bunch of people, then looks up. Does she see me? I won't wave to her, cause imagine people will think she has to do something with this. Fortunately, she soon leaves. The reason she wasn't allowed to help with this case is for her own safety.

Even though she was allowed to do shit here, I refused to let her be here, and let Theo know all about it. What if she would fall off the building? Or something else... I can't even think of it.
