Chapter 17

Setting: Hospital

Amy: Sonic! Sonic Please!

Knuckles: Goddamn it Sonic, wake up...

Tails: LET ME OUT!!! LET ME FUCKING OUT!

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Amy turned around.

Silver: T-tails?

Tails: I SAID STOP CALLING ME THAT!!

Silver: But your line! It's straight! You should be DEAD!

Tails: THAT'S FUCKING BULLSHIT!!! LET ME OUT OF THESE DAMN RESTRICTIONS!!

Amy: Tails, calm down! This isn't you!

Tails: THE HELL YOU ON ABOUT!?

Silver looked worried.

Silver: What if Eggman really didn't do anything? What if... This is Tails. Or what if it's irreversible!?

Knuckles: Calm down...

Silver: HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO CALM DOWN.

Amy: Guys, stop with this. We're all concerned and worried.

Knuckles: Tails, what happened?

Tails: I don't know what you're talking about.

Knuckles: Eggman was captured for once, we're bringing him in to fix you.

Tails: That damn idiot isn't going to do shit.

A few hours later, Eggman was finally brought in. The people uncuffed him, and left, shutting the door behind them.

Knuckles: Alright Eggman, help him.

Eggman: Why would I do that?

Amy: We'll let you go, but only if you fix him.

Eggman: Why would you let me go for that fox? He's a freak anyway. All of you are.

Silver's ear's dropped. Knuckles stepped back. Amy looked hurt.

Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Beep. Beep. Beep.

Silver's ears perked up again.

Silver: What the-

Eggman: Looks like he's back.

Tails: You piece of shit... Don't ever talk about my friends that way!! Knuckles, let me free.

Knuckles hurried to his side and unbuckled the clips. Tails sprung up.

Amy: Knuckles what are you doing!? Put Tails back!

Tails grabbed the restraints and whipped around Eggman. Soon he was cuffed again.

Eggman: Sigh. You really think you're smart.

Eggman ran amd jumped straight out the window.

Tails: What the-

Eggman flew up to the window standing on one of his drones.

Eggman: So long.

The drone flew away.

Knuckles: Damn it.

Silver: At least Tails is back to normal. But what was with the beeping?

Tails: When trying to get out I fainted from the pressure. I fainted, but the thing sorta "possessing" me didn't. The machine must of been confused or something. Then I woke up when I heard that man's ugly words.

Knuckles: That's quite a way to describe something. "Ugly words."

Amy: Either way, we're glad that you're back.

Tails: Yeah. But um, where's Sonic?

Amy pointed to the other side of the room.

Silver: Over there.

Tails was confused, so he walked over. There, he saw him. Sonic, laying there. He was covered in bandages and was extremely bruised.

Tails: I- I did this...?

Knuckles nodded slowly.

Tails collapsed on to the floor and began crying.

Tails: How long has he been out?

He said between sniffles.

Knuckles: Only a few days.

Tails lowed his ears.

Tails: I want to be alone.

Amy nodded and left.

Amy: C'mon guys.

Silver and Knuckles followed.

Tails cried and cried.

Eventually, he fell asleep next to the hospital bed.

Many months passed. Sonic was still in the hospital, not waking up. Tails visited him everyday. He even brought flowers sometimes. He would stay for awhile. The others noticed that Tails was now depressed. One day, while visiting, this happened.

Tails was coming for his daily visit, and today was a special day he brought flowers.

Doctor: We have some news.

Tails looked at him.

Tails: Tell me after I've visited.

He walked away. The doctor just watched.

Tails opened the door. He paused, the flowers falling from his hands. Tears formed at his cheeks.
