'Just pray that the zodiacs do their job right,'

I thought to myself, taking a deep breath as I walked towards the front door of our mansion. I could feel everyone's eyes on me, and it was making me incredibly uncomfortable.

'She looks so different when she's dressed up nicely, doesn't she?'

'Is this a sign that she'll be the future Queen of the Northern Kingdom?'

'Probably—shh... Her Ladyship is looking our way.'

I glanced at them, and they immediately panicked, giving me a quick bow before rushing towards the kitchen or somewhere else.

As I stepped outside, the first thing I saw was a large and fancy carriage, surrounded by many guards. The King, along with his secretary or assistant, was waiting patiently for me.

"I apologize for the delay, Your Highness... Did you all wait long?" I tried to say politely, not wanting to make it too obvious that I hated this setup.

"Ah, no, we didn't wait long, and—"

As the King turned to face me, he couldn't finish his sentence. He just kept staring at me. Was there something wrong with what I was wearing?

"My King, you're being too obvious," I heard his secretary or assistant whisper. His Highness then looked away, his face turning red with embarrassment.

Did they realize I could hear them?

"So anyway, where are we going?" I asked casually as I gracefully stepped inside the carriage where we would ride.

"Anywhere you like," he replied after finally calming down. I raised an eyebrow at him.

Had he forgotten that he was the one who asked me out? Shouldn't he have planned everything? Why was he asking me?

"I'll go wherever you're taking me. After all, you're the one who asked me out," I said with a bright smile.

"A-ah! Shall we go to the park then? I've prepared a picnic for us," he stammered, clearly flustered.

I chuckled. Who would have thought that the brilliant King could be so clumsy?

"Sure," I responded as he sat across from me, trying to keep a polite distance, as expected.

As we began our short journey to the park,
"Lady Alyssa... umm... I know we've met many times before I formally introduced myself, but could you keep that a secret from everyone?" He asked me a favor. I blinked for a few seconds, considering my decision.

He must have been worried that I would reveal his spying in our empire. Even though they claimed to be at peace in public, one couldn't help but be suspicious. And this King of the Northern Kingdom was no exception.

I mean, I really didn't plan to expose him or anything. It wasn't like I was going to be the future empress who had to side with my country. Besides, His Highness had even saved me once, so let's just say we were even.

I smiled slightly. "Don't worry, Your Highness. Just think of it as my way of thanking you for saving me when we first met, okay?" I told him, and he nodded, a small smile appearing on his face.

"And now! Can I have high hopes that you have a lot of desserts for me then?" I asked excitedly, a hopeful look on my face.

"Don't worry, I've been told that you love desserts."

Since I was already here, I might as well enjoy it, right? Taking advantage of the fact that the Princess and my sister would leave me alone, I was going to eat a lot of desserts. It was like hitting two birds with one stone!

I was so excited about what kind of desserts had been prepared for me...

And—

Thump!

The carriage suddenly stopped, and I was thrown forward against the seat in front of me. Closing my eyes, I could feel my hands touching something...

What the heck?!

I slowly opened my eyes and could only see a white fabric. My hands were pressed against it. I immediately turned red, slowly looking up to see His Highness's equally red face.

I too turned bright red with embarrassment, quickly pulling away and sitting back in my seat. "I'm sorry..." I said awkwardly.

I had been so close to him, and I had just grabbed his freaking ab—

"Are you two alright? I don't know why, but it seems there's traffic. Everyone was using one lane because the other road has been used by Moonlight—wait... why is the air so awkward?" His subordinate asked.

"It's nothing. What are they even using the road for?" His Highness asked.

Wait—

Did he just say Moonlight?!

What the—?!

Was this what Virgo had told me, that they had set traps to ruin the date?!

I mean, it was a great plan, but because of their ridiculous planning, things had become incredibly awkward.

"They're practicing some sort of dance. I mean, I know everyone gives way to Moonlight because they're very influential, but they've been abusing their power in baffling situations," His subordinate said, sounding unhappy with a hint of jealousy in his voice.

Right...

I had already been flustered by their first trap. How could they just use the main road of the capital to practice some dance? I didn't know why our Emperor was ignoring this situation. I wouldn't be surprised if he suddenly
announced that he was scared of either Scorpio or Aries, because those two were the main public figures of the company.

I mean, those two were so violent. I had once witnessed them fight over an argument, and they had destroyed a whole mountain, and everyone else was trying so hard to magically fix it.

I felt the carriage start moving again. It seemed they had finished practicing or something. They were so reliable, but they had helped in the most unexpected way.

"I'm sorry for the delay, My Lady," the King apologized, which wasn't really necessary because it was my people who had done this on purpose.

"No, it's fine. I mean, the day is still long."
