"You all are no fun,"
I exclaimed, watching the five assassins, now securely tied to a tree, awaiting Aries' return.
Were all assassins this disappointing? Seriously, they weren't as skilled as the ones in stories from Earth. Still, I had sustained some injuries – it was five against one, after all. But it seemed I still had it; Alyssa's body was surprisingly swift and flexible.
"Ugh... how much did the Emperor pay you all?" I asked them, noticing their fear. Well, what did they expect when I was sharpening a dagger in my hand with another dagger stained with their blood?
I was probably the most psychotic person in this world...
"It's none of your business, kid," their leader stated, the one who had given me the toughest fight. I had won because he was thrown off by my unexpected skills.
Skills that none of them had anticipated...
I stopped sharpening the dagger and looked at him with a deadly gaze, making him squirm with fear.
"You all must have been complacent because of my reputation. But you should always remember that both my sister and brother lack swordsmanship skills... a skill that was expected in every generation of the Silvertons... shouldn't you all have been more wary of me?" I told them, explaining why I had suddenly transformed from a meek lady to a violent woman who wielded blades like toys.
"We were told that you'd be easy... and we don't understand why the hell he paid us a hefty sum of money, just for your eyes—"
"Master, I'm back— oh my freaking god! What happened?!"
Just in time, Aries arrived. I could see the shock in the assassins' eyes as they recognized Sylvia's infamous security guard, who had suddenly appeared.
They must have guessed by now... who I really was.
"Oh! It's just some people who were sent to kill me! Nothing big," I casually told her as I continued to sit on the rock where I had been, resuming my task.
"Nothing big?! You were in danger! You should have called my name and—"
"And I'm alive... isn't that all that matters?" I cut her off, and she closed her mouth.
"But—"
"No buts... kill them, and make sure they're dead... And have their heads sent to the Emperor." As I said those words, I could feel the assassins flinch.
"Wait! Spare us! We'll work with you! Just please don't kill us!!!"
"We were just doing our job!!!"
"Please!!"
I heard them beg for their lives. I scoffed loudly and faced them. Were they idiots?
"Ugh... what did you expect? Did you think you'd continue living your lives as if nothing happened after I've already exposed myself to all of you? Are you all idiots?" I told them as I stood up and walked towards them.
"I'm... I'm the hero's daughter, as well as Moonlight's owner," I stated with a smile as I threw the dagger back at them. It only grazed them and hit the tree.
But their leader had a cut on his cheek. I grinned, facing Aries.
"You can now do your work," I stated, turning my back on them, hearing their screams that wouldn't be heard. It was all pointless...
No one would hear what had happened; only the Emperor would know.
"It's all done, Master. Should I send their heads to the Emperor?" she asked, placing all their heads in a sack.
