Driven to be the number one hero

Chapter 28

Izuku wasn't surprised in the least bit when Professor Aizawa had to stop Ochaco from killing Mineta after he grabbed her ass. She began pounding his face until he passed out and even after he was out she keep beating him. The next fight was close Momo and Shoto both had solid hand to hand skills but Shoto had more training than she did and he won out in the end. Hey nerd be glad we aren't using our quirks or this would be over very quickly Bakugo said. Izuku smiled and said I remember our last fight you used your quirk and still got knocked out. Izuku hated being mean but he was tired of Bakugo picking on him for no reason. Begin Aizawa said. Bakugo rushed in counting on his speed and reflexes to beat Izuku quickly. He lead with a knee strike Izuku sidestepped the attack Bakugo followed up with a spinning backhand and a flurry of punches. Izuku flowed through his punches moving just enough to avoid getting hit barely blocking. Bakugo began to get angry and he got sloppy and that's when Izuku struck. Izuku stepped in when Bakugo threw a big right hook and caught Bakugo with an uppercut. Izuku grabbed Bakugo's head with both hands in a clench and kneed him in the gut then released the clench and followed up with a series of elbow strikes to the torso and head. Bakugo's vision was blurry he barely saw the punch that knocked him out. Izuku caught him before he fell and gently placed him down on the ground. Izuku stood up and backed off Professor Aizawa began the ten count before declaring the match over. Izuku walked closer to Bakugo and used his quirk to heal the slight concussion he gave him then stepped out of the ring. Professor Aizawa walked up to Bakugo and tossed cold water on him Bakugo sat up swinging. Bakugo realized what happened he lost now he had to fill the bucket to wake the next student that gets knocked out. The bucket got used three more times before all of the fighting was done. 

The class discussed the matches and Izuku was asked what where the moves he used on Bakugo. I used boxing, Muay Thai and Krav Maga Izuku said. Some of the boys were asking for matches before Professor Aizawa got them back on track. After all of the discussions were over Professor Aizawa said starting tomorrow were going to fight using your quirks. Izuku walked to the showers wanting to clean up before dinner. when he heard a familiar voice call out to him it was Lida asking him to hold up. I wanted to ask you how did you get so good at fighting I was raised in a family of hero's so I know how much dedication it takes to get that good Lida said. Izuku smiled and simply said I've been training since I was young. between your hand to hand skills and your quirk I'm glad you choose the side of the hero's or you would be one scary dude Lida said. I knew from a very young age that this was the path I wanted to take so i began training from a very young age Izuku said. I commend you dedication Lida said. Can I ask you one more question Lida asked. Sure Izuku said. Why do you avoid hanging out with us after class or training Lida asked. I'm not strong enough to keep my friends safe yet so I have to become stronger before I can comfortably do that Izuku said and turned to walk into the showers.  Lida was unable to process that statement Izuku was already scary strong how much stronger does he need to become to have friends. Maybe I should talk to Ochaco and see if she knows anything about this. 

Izuku sat down at one of the tables alone when Ochaco sat down next to him and asked how are you doing. Izuku looked up at her and said that he was fine and that he was impressed that she didn't kill Mineta after what he did. Ochaco blushed remembering what Mineta did. Izuku can i ask you a question. Ok Izuku said. Why do you think that you have to be stronger than what you are now to be able to have friends Ochaco asked. Izuku looked around to see who was close enough to listen to what he was about to say. Apparently Mina, Toru, Momo and Tsuyu were making sure that they were left alone. Izuku lowered his head and said I'm afraid to lose the people close to me. I've already lost too much and it would kill me if anything happened to the ones I care about Izuku said. Before Ochaco could say something Izuku looked into her eyes she could see the hurt and loss in them. Izuku said that this was the first time he has allowed people to get close to him and it scares him. If something were to happen to you or Tsuyu, Momo, Mina and Pony I don't know if I could ever forgive myself. A tear rolled down his face Ochaco didn't know what to say. Izuku got up and excused himself and vanished. The girls approached Ochaco and asked what happened we need to go to the cabin and talk Ochaco said. Izuku found All Might talking with Aizawa they were alone he reappeared and said dad can you please schedule an appointment with Beru for me. All Might asked if everything was ok Aizawa had a look of concern on his face. I'm not sure to be honest with you Izuku said. All Might said you know you can talk to me about anything. Izuku told him how he felt. I'll call Beru but I think that she's going to agree with me when I say that it's OK for you to date and to have real friends. Come son lets spar it will make you feel better All Might said.
