Driven to be the number one hero

Chapter 80

As Izuku and Eri  enter UA they were approached by three students. It was the same students from the gym, From when they competed to see who would get to fight All Might. Hello the blond guy said. Izuku smiled it's Mirio right? I'm glad you remembered my name Mirio said. This is Nejire and Tamaki Mirio said. What can I do for you Izuku asked. Mirio smiled and said I would love to have a match against you. I saw the matches you fought in, and I really like to see how good you really are Mirio togata said. Why do you want to fight with my daddy Eri asked. Mirio kneeled down and smiled, this caused Eri to blush. Because your daddy is strong and I want to see how well I do against him Mirio said. We'll have a teacher oversee the fight Nejire said. Izuku looked at Mirio and said I'll fight you. Mirio smiled and thanked Izuku. I'll make the arrangements Mirio said and walked away. 

When Izuku entered the class Mina quickly went up to him and apologized. It was my Idea so please don't be upset with everyone. Daddy what is Mina talking about. Mina got some people to play a trick on me, and when I got home grandpa laughed at me Izuku said. That was mean Eri said. Mina winced at those words. Izuku smiled at Mina and said it's okay, just a little less lipstick next time as he looked at Ochaco, Momo and Tsuyu. 

Wait a minute Mineta said. You wouldn't let us write on his face but it ok for you to do it he continued. They probably wrote girly things like cutie or lover Bakugo said. Izuku was now very grateful that he only had kisses all over his face. Izuku didn't say anything about us writing on his face did he Jiro said. Wait a minute Mineta said. Just  as Mineta was winding up to go on a tirade Professor Aizawa walked in. I apologize for being late the professor said. Izuku your match is in the gym right after your last class the professor said. Thanks you Izuku said. 

During lunch Izuku and Eri were eating when Ochaco, Tsuyu and Momo walked up. They looked a little nervous when Momo asked can we join you. Izuku smiled and said or course.  I want to thank you for not letting the guys write on my face while I was asleep Izuku said. I also wanted to thank you respecting me enough to not kiss my lips while I was asleep he continued. Did they kiss you while you were sleeping Eri asked. yes we did Ochaco said. I wish I could've seen that Eri said. Momo pulled out her cell phone and showed Eri the pictures of her kissing Izuku's cheek. Don't tell me that all of you have pictures kissing me Izuku said. Before anyone could answer Izuku heard Bakugo voice ring out. 

Hey nerd how is it that you have a match after class Bakugo yelled. I would also like to know Todoroki said. Izuku sighed, I got challenged by a third year Izuku said. They made the arrangements with the staff he continued. You're so manly that the third years want to challenge you Kirishima said. Dammit Bakugo cursed and stormed off. Do you have to fight this guy Tsuyu asked. No I don't have to but he was polite with Eri when he set up the match Izuku said. but I would be lying, if I said that I wouldn't like to know how I would stack up against the top fighter in the school He continued. 

After class Izuku Izuku walked over to Ochaco, Tsuyu and Momo and asked if they would watch Eri. Do we get to watch the fight Tsuyu asked. if you want to Izuku said. We would Momo replied. We'll be in the combat gym Izuku said. Izuku changed into his gym uniform he had Black Sabbath playing getting ready for his fight. To his surprise Mirio came out in his hero costume. When Izuku looked around the gym there were quite a few students there as well. Izuku let them fade to the background. He focused on the smiling face of Mirio as he let a half smirk creep across his face. 

Professor Kayama stood in the center of the gym. This is a school sanctioned match she said. This match end when there's a knock out or when a student is restrained for 2 consecutive minutes she continued. I have All Might and Recovery Girl here in case of an emergency. Do I have any questions she asked. Both students shook their head no. BEGIN She exclaimed.

Izuku shot forward as Mirio sank into the ground. Izuku came to a screeching halt. His danger sense screaming for him to turn around. Izuku spun and threw a round house kick. Mirio shot up right behind Izuku to find a kick headed straight for his head. Mirio let the kick phase right through his head as he threw a front kick. Izuku used his arm to block the kick and to his surprise his leg passed through his arm and the foot connected with his chest. That was impressive Izuku said. Mirio asked how did you know that I was going to attack you from behind. That was the smart way to quickly Incapacitate an opponent Izuku said. Mirio threw a punch at Izuku's head. Izuku threw a punch right at Mirio's fist. Izuku focused on Mirio's fist, as his fist went through his hand then his arm. Izuku shifted his head to the right just barely in time to dodge the solid fist. Izuku used his momentum and spun following up with an elbow strike. Mirio phased to let Izuku's strike go threw him, but to his horror his quirk wouldn't work. Mirio barely got his arm up in time to block the attack. 

Mirio jumped back and tried to use his quirk again but this time it worked.  Mirio did a quick scan of the gym, confused that he didn't see Professor Aizawa. Besides a Professor wouldn't cheat for a student. Unfortunately for Mirio because of his distraction he received a hard foot to his chest. the impact of the kick lifted him off his feet as he flew back. thinking quickly he phased through the floor and shot back up. Izuku ran and jumped as Mirio sank into the ground. He smiled when Mirio popped up right in front of him. Once again Izuku canceled Mirio's quirk and this time punched him hard in the face. Izuku felt Mirio's nose break when his punch connected, as Mirio shot to the ground. 

Mirio felt the air leave his lungs as his quirk failed him again. He quickly got back to his feet took a deep breath and snapped his nose back in place. Mirio laughed when he heard that Professor Aizawa, made his students fight without using their quirks. Now he was wishing that he also received that training as he tried to focus his eyes on Izuku. 

Izuku didn't allow Miro to use his quirk any more. With blood flowing down Mirio's nose Izuku would end this quickly. To Izuku's surprise Mirio was still able to block some of his punches. Unfortunately for Mirio he wasn't used to getting hit during a fight after he mastered his quirk. Mirio tried to duck a punch and caught a knee strike to the head. Mirio's world wend black.

Winner Izuku Yagi. Professor Kayama exclaimed.
