Driven to be the number one hero

Chapter 65

I have to get Eri from Midnight then we can go home. When hey returned home Izuku sent Eri to her room to change, All Might plucked out one of his hairs and said eat this. Izuku looked at his father and asked why. I can only pass OFA through DNA and a willing person. DNA Izuku said with a smile as a cut opened on his hand. I've always wanted to say your blood runs through my veins. All Might Smiled and understood what his son meant. He extended his hand out to Izuku and a cut formed on his palm. Izuku took his fathers bloody hand and shook it and while still holding it he pulled his father into a hug. After a minute Izuku closed the cut on his fathers hand he didn't even leave a scar. But in his own hand he left a small scar as a reminder that he now shares his fathers blood. What now Izuku asked. Now you have to absorb the power OFA into your body his father said. Now let's eat dinner and you should go to bed early because tomorrow after class your extra training will continue. 

Izuku found himself chasing 8 figures as he raced down dark paths. He didn't know where he was or where he was going, but he wanted to catch these figures to find out what was going on. One of these figures looked familiar but he couldn't be sure until he caught them. So he continued running until he reached an area that looked like a black hole. He couldn't stop in time he was going to fall in until a large hand grabbed him. The shadow began to radiate light and the silhouette of his father began to shine. It shook it's head like he didn't want him to go into the darkness. The other seven began to radiate like his father, they were different people, he didn't know any of them. They surrounded the darkness that seemed to gobble up the light. The one that looked like his father leaped into the darkness and they struck at it all at once. Izuku woke from his dream sweating. He felt a pain deep inside his guts like he was stabbed. Izuku checked himself but there was nothing it was just a dream. When he looked at his alarm clock he sighed. I might as well get up and start my day. 

AFO sat up and rage and pain filled his mind and his connection to his son stopped. He had been slowly working on Izuku emotions. Making him angrier to the point that he was slowly getting more violent. Who and more importantly how did they manage to find and sever his connection. Even he didn't realize he had this connection until a few months ago. He pressed a button and a few minutes later Dr. Garaki walked in. AFO told the Dr. Garaki What happened and asked what could have cut his connection. Dr. Garaki began thinking about it and both men for the first time in a long time didn't have an answer.

As Izuku's day went along he found himself at peace. Things that would have annoyed him didn't bother him at all today. As he watched Momo and Todoroki go through their team event. The violent urges that he had gotten to destroy everything, that threatened to hurt the ones he cared for, weren't screaming as loudly in his head. He still wanted to protect her. He didn't feel the need to destroy the training area. When class was done Professor Aizawa picked up Eri and Izuku went to the Training grounds alfa again. This time the challenge was different. Instead of having to stop All Might. He was being targeted as he was walking through the town. This lesson was to help him heighten his awareness. The attacks were a combination of long and short range attacks. As he walked he sometimes he was ambushed by professors. Sometimes he was attacked by automated defenses. He even got hit in the butt by a rock fired by a slingshot. Professor Midnight waved at him after the shot. Izuku found out his biggest weakness was his awareness of his surroundings. His father once told him even he couldn't win every fight alone. But today he reactions had improved. Not by much but it still was an improvement. As he and his father went over today's lesson All Might said, you seemed more focused today. you stayed calm even when didn't go your way he continued. That's a good thing his father said, a calm mind is able to make better decisions under pressure he continued. 

After Izuku picked Eri up they went home. Izuku began cooking dinner, after dinner he began working on his homework while Eri worked on her spelling words.  They both went to bed early and once again Izuku had a bizarre dream. This time he found himself in a ring. He was fighting one of the figures he was chasing the night before. He couldn't make out it's face and every punch and kick that he threw missed. Izuku changed his fighting style and still couldn't land a shot. Izuku stepped back and looked around the ring. He saw the other figures looking at him. He felt like they were studying him, but he didn't feel any malicious intent. Izuku took a deep breath stepped forward and began attacking the figure in the ring. Izuku tried to use his quirk but it didn't work here. Izuku was a flurry of punches, kicks, knee strikes and elbows strikes. The figure In the ring effortlessly avoided every strike. Izuku was drenched in sweat, when he finally realized the figure never threw a single punch. Izuku tried to speak to the figure but nothing came out of his mouth. Frustrated Izuku took a deep breath and tried to yell. He felt a heat raging through his body. Izuku woke to his father shaking him and his room a disaster.

All Might ran into Izuku's room when he heard the yell. Izuku had green sparks of what looked like lightning shooting out of his body. All Might grabbed Izuku and began shaking him said wake up son. All Might got Izuku to calm down and take deep breaths. Are you alright All Might asked. I had crazy dreams for the last two nights Izuku said. Tell me everything All Might said. Izuku told him everything to include the pain he last night, and how he felt yesterday. Izuku even told his father about the figure that looked just like him.
