Driven to be the number one hero

Chapter 72

After all of the students finished Present Mic informed the audience that only the first 42 student's would be advancing to the next round. Present Mic hit the button on the randomizer. The next event is a difficult one it's an CrossFit endurance test. This test begins with a 200 lbs. sled pull for the men, for the women they have to pull 150 lbs. Then its a 30 ft. rope climb  followed up by a 200 meter dash . The final event is a chain ladder where the students have to lift three sets of weights each one increasing in weight for the men its 100, 150 then 200 for the women its 50, 100 then 150. I need the following students to report to professors Ectoplasm and Vlad King. You will be broken down to four groups of 10 followed up by the last two. The fastest two students from the obstacle will be the last two students to compete. because they are the ones most likely to finish the fastest. 

Dammit Bakugo growled that nerd is going to be in the spotlight again. He gets a one on one VS Icey hot, while I'm stuck competing against the extras. Kirishima walked up to Bakugo and asked are you ok. Bakugo looked at him and said I'm going to crush you guys. Kirishima smiled and said I think I have the advantage here. As Ochaco lined up she focused on her plan, this course played to her strengths. Ochaco's concern was the 200 meter dash, she knew that speed wasn't her strong point. But the weights wouldn't be a problem, when Vlad King yelled go she touched the sled and it began to float and she sprinted. Bakugo saw her take off and yelled hell no, he pointed his hand's back and used his quirk to try to catch up to Ochaco. Kirishima began pumping his legs with his sheer force of will. At the end Ochaco set the pace as she was the first one to finish. when she was done she ran to the bushes and threw up from over using her quirk. Bakugo finished second and dropped to his knees, Dammit he yelled he just barely lost to Ochaco but the fact that he lost pissed him off. As the other students went, a girl from the department of support surprised everyone with her inventions, as she finished her events. 

Izuku was working out as a large shadow stopped in front of him. when he looked up it was Endeavor looking down on him. Don't you think you should be conserving your energy Endeavor asked. Izuku looked at the number two hero and said shouldn't you be encouraging your son. Endeavor scoffed and said you need to push him to his limits, and a tired you will only lose pitifully. Izuku smiled and said be careful what you ask for. Endeavor Scoffed as he walked away. As the final group of ten finished Present Mic saw Izuku and asked Eraser Head has he been working out this whole time. Eraser Head said yes in his usual deadpan tone. Once again Present Mic asked what is wrong with your students. As Todoroki walked up to his place he saw Izuku walk up with a sheen of sweat on his face. Either you really underestimate me or you're Dumber than I thought Todoroki said. Izuku took off his UA jacket and said I guess we're about to find out. Todoroki tried to maintain his poker face but looking at how jacked Izuku had become made him worry. Male's of class 1A always wondered why Izuku would change alone, he wouldn't join them in the showers and now they found out why. Izuku was always in good shape, but this was next level. Todoroki planned to use his ice to get a solid lead and win but now he began second guessing himself.

As the two students got in place, Izuku saw Endeavor looking at him as he settled into his harness for the first event. Then he took a glance at Todoroki who had one hand pointed back and down. Izuku smiled and said OFA 30%. King Vlad yelled go and it wasn't even close. Izuku was already climbing the rope before Todoroki was halfway done putting the sled. Todoroki used his quirk and shot up to the top of the rope, then created a slide down the 200 meter sprint. By the time he got to the weights Izuku was already on the last one. When Izuku finished he stared at Endeavor and said did I push hard enough. Endeavor was shocked but his face remained the same. This event reminded Endeavor of his junior year in college, when he lost this event to the man the world would know as the symbol of peace, All Might.  Endeavor read Izuku's lips and his anger began to boil. Did this first year just challenge me Endeavor wondered.

The top 16 finishers will move on to the final event which is one on one combat it is bracket set up. This is a single elimination competition in three rounds we will have our tournament winner. We're going to take a twenty minute recess while we set up the stage for the final event. 

All Might looked at Eri and asked would you like to see your father. Eri smiled and said yes. Professor Midnight and said I'll join you guys I'm part of the next event. Midnight reached over and picked Eri up as they left the VIP booth. As they got closer to the contestants All Might heard a familiar voice saying if you want to win you need to use my quirk. Midnight asked is that Endeavor. As soon as they turned the corner they saw Him talking with Todoroki. Endeavor's head snapped as the two professors turned the corner. I didn't know you had a child Midnight Endeavor stated. That's Yagi's child, the girl he rescued from the Yakuza Todoroki said. Then it clicked Endeavor looked at All Might and said we need to talk alone. I'll take Eri to her father Midnight said as she walked with Todoroki.

Is Izuku your son Endeavor asked. Yes he is All Might said, his mother was killed trying to get away from his father. I captured the Villains that killed her, A few months later I legally adopted him All Might continued. Who else knows the truth Endeavor asked. Nezu, Eraser head, Midnight and Recovery Girl All Might said. Endeavor smiled and said my son is going to defeat your son, history will not repeat itself. None of the students know that Izuku's my son and I prefer to keep it that way All Might said. Don't worry I'm not going to reveal your secrets Endeavor said as he walked away.
