Driven to be the number one hero

Chapter 74

UA called a twenty minute break as Cementos rearranged the stadium. He got rid of the four arenas and made one giant arena. Ojiro walked over to Izuku and said come with me, we need to talk. I don't like telling other people secrets Ojiro said, but the guy you're gonna fight next did something to me. What do you mean Izuku said. I mean he said something to me then told me walk out the arena and I couldn't stop myself and walked out the arena. Izuku looked for the other student and didn't see him, Ojiro said I just want you to put on a better show than I did. Thank you Izuku said and walked away. Izuku turned to look at the big screen and saw the brackets change. Looks like he's gonna be facing that odd student next who's name is Shinzo.

Bracket 1. Yagi vs Shinso then Lda versus Todoroki

Bracket 2. Sato VS Shoji Kirishima vs Bakugo

The first two students that walked into the arena were Izuku and Shinso. Begin Midnight said. Shinso looked at Izuku with disgust on his face. It must be nice to be so blessed. Izuku stepped forward without saying a word. You've got nothing to say Shinzo said, your worthless classmate sure couldn't shut up until he walked out the ring. Izuku waited until he got Shinso in his sphere of influence, then canceled his quirk. Then said once this match is over you're gonna apologize to Ojiro. Shinzo smiled and said please walk out of the ring. Izuku continued to walk forward, how is this possible Shinso exclaimed, why aren't you walking out of the ring he continued. I don't think your quirk works on me Izuku said with a smile, if you wanna get me out of this ring you have to force me out. You bastard Shinzo growled, only the blessed can be as arrogant as you. You don't understand what it is to come from nothing, to have people afraid of you he continued. Izuku rushed forward punching Shinso in the gut, as Shinso doubled over Izuku caught him. I know what it is to lose everything Izuku whispered in Shinso's ear, but I don't presume anything Izuku said. While you claim you have it so bad, just know that there are people who would give up everything to have what you have Izuku whispered. Izuku then tossed Shinzo out of the ring. Winner Izuku midnight said. Ojiro smiled in the stands as he watched Izuku walk out of the arena. 

Todoroki sat next to Yaoyorozu as they watch the Izuku fight. When Izuku won Todoroki saw the warm smile on Yaoyorozu's face as he walked away. I'm gonna crush him he thought to himself as he walked away. Mentally preparing himself for his next fight.

Sato and Shoji entered the arena. King Vlad said begin. Sato looked at Shoji and said let's give them something to talk about. Sato quickly reached into his pouch and pulled out a chocolate ball and ate it, Shoji ran directly towards Sato and reached in to grab him. Sato's muscles bulge to reach forward and grabbed 2 of Shoji's hands. Sato was surprised when Shoji jerked him in towards him, Shoji then quickly wrapped his 6 arms around him. This prevented Sato from seeing anything around him. In a calculated risk Shoji fell back and began rolling toward the end of the arena, while Sato was desperately trying to break out of his grip. When Shoji got to the end of the arena he stopped rolling, then loosened his grip on Sato allowing him to think he got free. Sato quickly rolled away from Shoji and fell out the ring. Winner Shoji King Vlad exclaimed

As Todoroki and Lda entered the arena, Lda went all the way down to the far end. Ectoplasm said begin. Lda's mufflers began to burn blue as he stared down Todoroki. Lda knew that only had one chance at this. Todoroki determined to prove that he doesn't need his father's quirk to win.

Izuku watched the Todoroki match on the monitor in the waiting room. He watched as Lda blazed around the ring leaping jumping dodging avoiding Todoroki's ice. Lda's only problem was he was running out of room, Lda stepped onto one of the sheets of ice on the ground and slipped. The only thing that kept Lda from getting encased in ice was his momentum. Izuku watched the frustration build on Todoroki's face. The longer Lda dodged Todoroki's attacks the more frustrated Todoroki became. Until Todoroki unleashed a massive attack which froze Lda's legs in place, Ectoplasm asked Lda can you continue. Lda's shoulders slumped when he couldn't move his legs and said no I cannot. Winner Todoroki exclaimed ectoplasm.

Izuku watched as Bakugo and Kirishima entered the arena. As soon as snipe said begin Kirishima rushed forward. Bakugou let loose an explosion trying to slow down Kirishima. When Bakugo saw Kirishima throwing the punch through the flames he dived out of the way. Kirishima was unrelenting, constantly pushing forward forcing Bakugou back. Izuku watched as Bakugo would try to shift right to catch Bakugo with an explosive right hook. Kirishima kept throwing punches trying to land one.  Watching kirishima fight reminded Izuku of himself. Izuku didn't worry about defense thinking his shield would always protect him. Until one day his father had to prove him wrong. And it looks like Kirishima is about to learn the same lesson. Bakugo finally landed a blow that Kirishima couldn't defend, and Kirishima went down like a sack of bricks. Kirishima tried to get up before the 10 count but his body wasn't able to. Winner Bakugo exclaimed snipe. To Izuku surprise Bakugo helped kirishima back up to his feet, then called him an idiot for taking all those punches. Shortly after the fight was done the new brackets were displayed.

Bracket 1 Izuku vs Todoroki 

Bracket 2 Bakugo vs Shoji

Looks like I'm up again, Izuku thought to himself as he got up and went to the arena. All Might watched in anticipation for this next match. Eri started to cheer when she saw her father walk on to the arena. Izuku walked all the way to the far end of the arena. Todoroki looked at him like he had something to prove. I apologize in advance Todoroki said. Begin yelled Midnight. Todoroki slammed his foot down on the ground and a giant glacier shot at Izuku. Izuku only smiled as the ice engulfed him, he used this quirk to super heat the air around him and started walking through the ice. Todoroki smiled as he saw the icing engulf Izuku. Midnight started counting to 10, When she didn't hear any pounding in the ice. As Izuku walked to where he thought Halfway point of the arena was, he threw an enhanced kinetic punch that made the ice explode in front of him. Todoroki had to dive out of the way not to get hurt, but he still got cut by some of the ice shards flying back at him. Izuku spread his arms out and started forming shards of ice from the glacier. Then he launched the ice shards at Todoroki.  Out of sheer anger Todoroki used his fire quirk to melt the ice before it got to him. Izuku smiled and said you can use fire. Todoroki's face went grim, I can't stand that side of myself he said. I can beat you without him he continued. I've already told you, if you don't use all of your power you will never beat me Izuku said. Izuku pointed his arm forward in a gun like motion and Ice shards started ripping out of the glacier, they launched a Todoroki like bullets. Todoroki tried forming an ice wall, but the ice shards ripped straight through it. Todoroki yelled out in frustration as he released a large blast of fire. I've already told you you're not gonna beat me only using half of yourself, Criminals will also find a way to exploit your weakness Izuku said. Fine you want all of me don't blame me for what happens Todoroki yelled, For the first time in his life Todoroki used both his quirks at once, he yelled out flash fire. Using his ice side to keep him cool as he used his fire quirk at higher temperatures than he's ever used. Is Izuku smiled and launched himself to the side, then using all for one at 30%, he appeared right next to Todoroki, he smiled and said thank you and punched him right in the temple. Todoroki dropped as he was knocked out. winner Izuku Yagi exclaimed Midnight. 

Endeavor watched is shock as his son finally used his fire quirk during a fight making him proud. Just as his son embraced his fire quirk Izuku knocked him out. Just like All Might beat him for his whole college career. Don't worry Shoto I will personally train you and the next time the two of you fight you will win Endeavor thought to himself.
