Driven to be the number one hero

Chapter 67

When Izuku woke this morning he felt different. When he went to the gym to work out, the weight that would normally push his limits felt light. When he ran he crushed his personal best without trying hard. He almost ran into a truck because he got to the corner stop light a lot faster than he thought possible. When Izuku got home he wanted to tell his father. All Might left a note in the Kitchen saying that there was an emergency and he had to go. Izuku knew that this was the mantle that he had to rise to. Izuku sent his father a text informing him about his new abilities. Then he began to make breakfast and called Eri to join him in the Kitchen.

Bakugo watched as Izuku entered the class, How is it that this nobody is doing so well. Izuku is second only to pony tail girl as far as grades while he was in third. As much as Bakugo hated to admit it Izuku is one of the top fighters only second to him, at least in his opinion. It really pissed Bakugo off every time he would look at Pony tail, round face, or the frog girl they were always looking at Izuku practically drooling. It didn't take a rocket scientist to know that they had it bad for him. Most of the guy's in class liked him except for Mineta and himself. Bakugo would watch how Izuku would help the little horn girl in class while keeping up with his own studies. Bakugo felt like every time he would turn around the distance between him and Izuku grew. When they were in the gym today training Izuku seemed to move faster, not just a little faster but a lot faster. This pissed Bakugo off even more. He remembered what professor Aizawa said about how Izuku was sandbagging to not have the other students fear him. Bakugo began to push himself harder, I will be the winner in the freshman competition he thought to himself. Hey are you ok Kirishima asked this brought Bakugo back to himself. I'm fine just thinking about how I'm going to win the competition. Then i look at Kirishima and ask is it me or is Izuku pushing harder than usual. Kirishima looks over to Izuku and said Izuku is a beast he's always pushing himself that hard.

Izuku was pushing himself in the gym trying to find his new limits. He began thinking about how to use his new power, speed and danger sense. thinking of ways to integrate it with his quirk. Izuku heard a familiar voice call him it was his father. All Might, professor Aizawa and dean Nezu approached Izuku. He quickly jogged over to them, when his father said in a low voice how much have you improved. Izuku smiled and said i haven't found my limit yet. After class instead of your extra training were going to push you to your limits dean Nezu said. Izuku nodded his head. Professor Aizawa called the class over, I'm going to explain a little of the tournament your all competing in. There are three events the first two are always random but the final one is always one on one fights. That's not fair that means it's going to be between Midoriya, Todoroki or Bakugo Mineta said. Quirk usage is not only allowed its highly encouraged Aizawa said as if Mineta never spoken, sometimes there's team work involved but at the end of the day there is only one winner. I want to wish all of you the best of luck the dean said. Remember it's not always the strongest quirk that wins, it's the person that use's their quirk the smartest he continued.

Once again the girls noticed something wasn't right with Izuku. Normally after class they all would walk out of school together. But for the last couple of days he'd stay behind after class. This time in order not to get caught they asked Toru to follow him. Tsuyu stopped Izuku asked him about what he was going to wear for the wedding and what color he was going to wear. While he was distracted Toru ran to the restroom and stripped then ran back to the classroom, as she was getting there Tsuyu was walking out. Soon after Izuku and Eri were leaving the classroom. He was talking with Eri when all of a sudden he looked up in her direction and smiled. Then he looked back down and continued talking as if nothing happened. Toru began to wonder if it was her imagination because it happened so quickly. Toru followed him to the bus the took the students to the training grounds. The Dean and 5 professors were waiting on him. Toru was wondering how she was going to get on the bus while not getting caught. The professors got on the bus and just before Izuku was about to get on he stopped and began tying  his boot. Toru took this opportunity to get on the bus. Izuku picked Eri up and got on the bus and then they were off to training ground gamma. What she saw would forever change the way she looked at Izuku. 

Professor Aizawa opened a box he had with him and there were four kittens inside. Eri squealed out in joy and Aizawa told her to please watch over the kittens while they test her father. Eri seriously nodded her head and took the box and began playing with the kittens. She knew Izuku was strong but her jaw dropped when she saw how much weight was put on the bench press. Izuku brought the weight down to his chest and back up then they added more weight. the bar began to bend because there was so much weight on it. All Might called out 1400 lb. as the final amount and Toru thought she misheard. They moved on to dumbbell curls and All might called out 250 lb. as the final amount. he moved on to squats 1300 lb. the dead lift 500 lb. long jump 35 ft. Izuku was sweating and breathing heavy. All Might looked at him and said lets see how fast you can run after all this. Izuku smiled All Might leaped to the end point then called on the radio I'm in place. Dean Nezu said ready and Izuku took a sprinter's stance GO! Nezu exclaimed and Izuku was gone he reached All Might breathing heavy. All Might looked at Izuku and smiled soon you'll be as fast and as strong as me and with your spatial manipulation quirk your going to a force of nature. Toru was standing close enough to dean Nezu to hear All Might say 4 min 58 sec.

Ok that's good for today lets go back Toru quickly headed back to the bus as quietly as she could and sat towards the middle of the bus. She wanted to curse herself as Eri was about to sit next to her. Luckily Izuku said lets sit over here and she went and sat with him. Did you have fun he asked and Eri told him about how much fun she had with captain mittens, miss fluffy tail, socks and princess doughnut. Izuku laughed when he heard the names, did you name them he asked her. Eri smiled and said yes they needed names. When they returned to campus Toru was waiting to sneak off the bus before the driver left when Izuku said hold on Eri your shoe lace is loose. Toru quickly got off the bus as Izuku tied Eri's shoes. As Izuku got off the bus and walked by a certain bush when he said I hope what happened this afternoon doesn't spread beyond our class. Daddy what are you talking about Eri asked. You can only tell Ochaco, Tsuyu and Momo about this afternoon. Can I tell Satsuki I know she'll want to hear about captain mittens, miss fluffy tail, socks and princess doughnut Eri asked. Sure  Izuku said as they walked towards the car. Shit he knew that I was there Toru thought to herself, and that was his not so subtle hint on who could know.
