Chapter 19- Why?

*Evie's POV*
I was frozen in a trance is could not move, I just stood there watching Nathan snog the face off of Tyler, suddenly Tyler opened his eyes pulled away from Nathan and said

"Is that Evie Fletcher"

I saw Nathan turn around and his mouth dropped to the floor. I could feel myself starting to cry and then I felt myself running as fast as I could to get out of there :(

"EVIE" Nathan shouted, but I didn't stop I just kept running until I crashed into someone and fell to the ground.

"Hey are you okay" a familiar voice said... I looked up to find Joe Sugg looking down at me

"Um uh" I couldn't find any words, I just couldn't stop crying.

"Shh it's okay" he said sitting down next to me over in a corner where I fell

"Yo-you don't have to be h-here I will b-be fine" I said because first of all I could not believe what a fool I had made of my self and I probably looked horrendous!

"Wait a minute...are you Evie Fletcher"

My mouth dropped! How did he knows name and what the hell was going on right now?

"Y-yes how did you know that"

"Um well I've seen some of your videos, your really cool"

"Oh thank you that means a lot" I said wiping away my tears

"Evie... I can explain" I heard Nathan saying as he ran around the corner

"Stay away from me!!" I said to him, immediately Joe stood up and said

"Is this your problem Eve" He said to me. No one ever calls me Eve so I think it was a compliment... Or he just forgot my name

"Yes bu-" I said

He interrupted me and said "so you think that it's alright to just go around hurting girls like this? I remember you from last year... Your the guy who came to support the gay gamers"

"Is this true Nathan... Your gay?"

"Well yes..."

"So when you kisse-"

"It was a dare..."

I couldn't take it anymore I had to run before they saw me crying.. Again! I got up and made a run for it I glanced behind me and saw Joe telling security to get Nathan out and then he ran to catch up with me. I'm not the fastest runner so he caught up with me quite quickly.

"Eve please slow down" he said out of breath, I slowed down and he came and walked next to me "don't worry about him he's a douche... Do you want to grab a coffee and talk about it"

A million thoughts were going through my mind at that point in time like 'why does Joe want to hang out with me' and 'should I say yes?' And many many others

"Okay thanks" I found myself saying

We went to a coffee shop got some drinks and sat down.

"So do you want to talk about it... I know it always makes me feel better?" He said sweetly

"O-okay"

I explained the whole story to him and he listened. I suddenly realised why I liked him in the first place! Even though I didn't necessarily personally know him, I always knew that he was really kind and sweet.

I finished the story and he said "wow he definitely is a douche... But I knew that already from when he tried to kiss me last year! That kids a freak man.."

"Yea seems like it" I laughed slightly

Then I saw Jack and Skye walking past..... But they were holding hands!!!!!!

"SKYE" I shouted

She saw me and came over, Joe jumped up and did that bro hug thing with Jack so I gathered that they knew each other...

"Evie what's wrong you look like you have been cryi- wait" she turned around and said "your Joe Sugg aren't you?"

"That's me" he said

"Wow Evie loves yo-"

"Skye shut up!!" I said to her

I went bright red like a tomato but when I looked at Joe he was sort of smiling.... He didn't have the look of disgust on his face which might be a good thing!!!

"So um you and Jack then hmmmm" I said to Skye

"Well yeah he asked me out in front of all the gamers" she said gazing into his eyes

"Aww that's cute" I said

"Hey um Eve sorry to interrupt but I was wondering if you wanted to stay with me for the rest of the day?" Joe asked

"Wow really, that would be awesome! Thanks Joe" I said. I looked at Skye and she said

"Okay well I will see you back at the car later"

"Bye" I said

I could not believe what was happening! My best friend is now dating a gamer and I'm hanging out with my all time crush.... I hope he thought Skye was joking... Oh gosh.
