Darian finally parks the car in the high school parking lot, Jamie turns to look at Darian. Both were finally alone. "Are you okay?" Jamie asks
Darian turns to her, only to chuckle. "You know, last night was one of the best night sleep in a long ass time. It's like I needed to get my ass beat, to be humbled." Darian says "Darian, why the hell do you need to be humbled? You are one of the best people I know. I'm fucking glad you stumbled into my life." Jamie states
Darian smiles. "I love you too." Darian says
Jamie smiles back. "Come on asshole, time to go to hell." Jamie roars, sticking out her tongue and shaking her head like crazy, making Darian laugh and join in. People turned to look, confused.
Billy was one of the masses, his eyebrows moving to his hairline.
Suddenly a Black Sabbath song comes on, making Jamie gasp and slam a hand onto Darian's chest, gripping his shirt into her fist. "This is my fucking song!!" Jamie yells, shaking her hair violently, singing along. Despite the initial sting, Darian joins her, both of them rocking the car.
"DAY OF JUDGEMENT!!!! GOD IS CALLING!!!" The two yell at the top of their lungs, making those who pass them stare.
....
The two were a mess as they passed through the hall. Jamie's hair was even more messy than before, but it worked for her. Darian on the other hand had hair sticking everywhere.
"Jesus Darian, what the hell happened to you?" Steve asks, reaching over and trying to fix the mess on top of Darian's head. Darian chuckles, only shaking his hair in Steve's grip, making the teen laugh. "You're a freak." Steve states with fondness
"Thanks." Darian replies with a smirk.
Suddenly the bell rolls above them, announcing the start of the first period. Steve groans in annoyance, pulling away. "See you in class Wheeler." Steve says
Darian smiles, watching him leave. Jamie's face suddenly comes into view. Darian lifts a questioning eyebrow. "Damn you still have it bad for him, don't you?" Jamie asks teasingly
Darian rolls his eyes, "come on jerk." Darian sneers, lightly shoving her to their first class.
....
The first few classes were boring, Steve and Him were constantly passing notes back and forth, ignoring most of the lessons. Darian couldn't stop smiling.
They used to be close friends, so it was nice to see them getting closer again. Billy, on the other hand, hated it. Darian could feel his glares, but this time, he wasn't doing it on purpose.
Darian risks a glance behind him and spots Billy's gaze on him. Darian swallows softly, intimidated and turned on. Billy smirks darkly, obviously knowing the effect he has on the teen.
....
Jamie meets Darian for PE, lifting an eyebrow when she catches Darian staring after Billy. "Are you catching feelings for the guy?" Jamie asks
Darian's gaze snaps down towards her, looking flabbergasted, "What!? No?! Christ Jamie, never in a million years!!" Darian states, shaking his head at the absurdity.
Jamie smirks, shaking her head. "Wow." She breathes, obviously amused.
....
Push it to the limit blasted on the court's speakers. The coach blew the whistle continuously as if he were on a mission.
Billy was on the Skins team like always. Toby had the ball in his grasp, Darian attempted to block the pass, but Billy quickly caught it, sending him a cheeky smirk, only to stumble when Steve shoved against him, glaring.
Billy's eyes darken. But instead of mean remarks that would get him benched, he laughs, pushing himself away and bouncing the ball along the court. "All right! All right, all right!" Billy exclaims, confusing Steve and Darian.
"King Steve. King Steve, everyone." Billy exclaims, leaning forward with a smirk. "I like it. Playing tough today." Billy teases, he seems even more aggressive than usual, his eyes briefly meeting Darian's before going back to Steve.
Steve caught the look, but he didn't say anything about it. "Jesus! Do you ever stop talking? Come on!" Steve exclaims, trying to come closer, but Billy steps back, still bouncing the ball.
Billy continues to laugh, eyeing Steve. "What?" Billy asks teasingly, tilting his head as he slowly comes closer. "You afraid the coach is gonna bench you now that I'm here? Huh?" Billy mocks, he then starts forward, one hand on the ball. He shoves Steve to the ground, as he makes it for the hoop.
There were shouts of excitement. Darian only sighed, turning to Steve, who was still on the ground. Billy makes his way over, leaning down and offering a hand, which surprises Darian. Steve eyes his hand before taking it, only to be pulled into speaking level.
"You were moving your feet. Plant them next time, draw a charge." Billy states he pauses for a moment. "Next time, stay away from Darian." Billy states, his voice low and deep. He then shoves Steve back into the ground, walking off as the couch blows his whistle.
Steve lies there confused, but a shadow falls over him. Darian looks down at him concerned. "Hey, are you okay?" Darian asks, offering his hand which Steve quickly accepts, with no hesitation. "Yeah, I'm good." Steve says, still confused and wondering what was going on between Billy and him. Both looked equally bruised, with a soft faded bruise on the center of Billy's chest. Darian looked worse. Steve recalled that the teen bruised like a peach.
Steve finally noticed that Darian was talking to him, he squinted at him, "What?" Steve breathes "I was asking if you needed an ice pack. Billy slammed you pretty hard." Darian says, looking up and meeting Billy's gaze as the male interacts with the team.
Steve shakes his head. "No I'm good, I'm just going to take a quick shower." Steve says
Darian nods, still looking concerned.
While Steve walks away, Jamie steps up beside him. "What's up with that asshole?" Jamie asks, nodding to Billy. "I have no clue, James?" Darian says
