"I didn't need a hero, Billy." Darian sneers, dusting off his coat, eyes glaring.
Billy only smirks, reaching over and untangling one of Darians dark curls, quickly catching himself, pulling his hand back. "It didn't seem like that a minute ago." B...

Max is on her bicycle with El, behind her, double riding, making their way to the Wheelers.
....
The gang is sitting around the coffee table. "I didn't think it was anything at first. I mean, I think I just didn't want to believe it. The first time I felt it was at Day of the Dead." Will says "The power went out that night, too." Mike says, looking up at Will, trying to play it cool in front of El.
"And then I felt it again at the field near the Nelson farm the next day. Then again yesterday outside Castle Byers." Will says, feeling chills as he recalls the events.
"What does it feel like?" Kurt asks, glancing briefly at El with a nervous look before looking up at Will. Will swallows harshly. "It's almost like... You know when you drop on a roller coaster?" Will says
"Sure." Max says, barely glancing at Lucas, who stands at her side. "Yeah." Kurt states, "No." El disagrees, she moves to stand beside Kurt, who smiles at her, happy she is beside him.

El shakes her head, confused. "I closed the gate." El states, her hand trembling, only for it to stop when Kurt gently grabs her hand, squeezing it reassuringly. Mike glares at Kurt, crossing his arms over his chest.
"I know, but... what if he never left? What if we locked him out here with us?" Will states
....
Moments later. At the D&D table, Will draws with charcoal on a piece of paper. A crude drawing of the Mind Flayer. Will points at the picture, peering up at everyone. "This is him. All of him. But, that day on the field, a part of him attached itself to me." Will says
Will smears the drawing, then shows his blackened hand. "My mom got it out of me." Will says "And Eleven closed the gate." Will says and he flips the drawing over. "But the part that was still in me, what if it's still in our world?" Will asks
