Billy's Camaro sped into the driveway, its wheels creating dust like smoke. Every single one of the kids was pressed against the window, peering out into the darkness. Darian hovered behind Lucas, his hand gently pressing onto his shoulder.
"It's my brother." Max says, her eyes wide.
"What??" Lucas asks
She spins back and locks eyes with Lucas, panicked. "He can't know I'm here- he'll kill me- he'll kill us." Max says
Darian swallows harshly. Billy.
Steve's eyes go to Darian. Realizing the situation. Steve knew the obsession Billy had with Darian. Billy wanted him to stay away, and now they had Max. They were screwed.
The car screeches to a halt, the lights bright and glaring. Billy cuts the engine, and the driveway falls into darkness.
The door to the Camaro flies open, with a singular boot stomping against the pavement. Billy exits his car. A cigarette in between his lips. He places a singular hand on top of the car, his eyes narrow, baffled, as he spots Steve.
The brunette was walking out to meet him on his own.
"Am I dreaming or is that you, Harrington?" Billy asks
"It's me. Don't cream your pants." Steve states, his hands perched onto his hips, his mom's stance.
Billy roughly takes off his jacket, slamming shut his car door. The two "kings" meet halfway between the car in the house. A showdown in the Byers driveway.
"What are you doing here, amigo?" Billy asks
"I could ask you the same question. Amigo." Steve says
"I'm looking for my stepsister. A little bird told me she was here-" Billy says
"Huh. That's weird. Don't know her." Steve says, softly shrugging.
"Small. Redhead. Bit of a bitch?" Billy says, motioning with his hands.
"Yeah... that's not ringing any bells, man. Sorry." Steve says, shrugging once again, trying to act nonchalant.
