Dear Noah,

I wrote this for a boy by the name of Noah Oliver... he showed me great kindness and I am sorry for what I did and how I left you. But dear sweet Noah, I was not the one for you. I have found my one and so have you. Much love, you were one of my 3 AM heartbreaks.

Dear Noah,

You sat on a bench, in the cold October air

Hoping she'd walk by with stars in her eyes and love in her smile.

She'd smile at you and say

"What a lovely day,"

And you'd respond to her with,

"I love autumn, it's cold but not too cold."

She'd look into your eyes that change colors

Just like the leaves in autumn.

In those few moments

Everything felt slow and fluent

"I should go,"

She said slowly, biting her stained red lower lip

"Don't, please."

You whispered.

She kissed you on the cheek.

When you came back the next fall,

She wasn't there.

Instead, you came across

A girl dressed in black, with no stars in her eyes

And no love in her smile.

"Hello,"

She said in a small voice, pulling at her sleeves.

"Hi,"

You replied back with a smile,

Somewhere inside you hoped that she would smile back.

"What's in your hand?"

You asked her, your eyes shining like the stars.

"A letter,"

She opened it up and stared at the navy ink.

"Who's it written to?"

She looked into your eyes, hoping you wouldn't notice

Her admiration of the deep blue she loved in your eyes and soul.

"A boy I met,"

She paused for a brief moment, inhaling the crisp air

"Right here on this bench.

I haven't seen him for a year."

She stood up and left the note,

You tried to stop her

But she kept walking, never looking back

You opened the letter and read.

Dear Noah,

You sat on a bench in the cold October air...
