"Are we really doing this?" I panicked, breathing heavy and shaking my hands in front of my face. "What if they hate it?"
Jake put his hands on my shoulders, "Everyone is going to love it, and you and I are going to be the next class President and Vice President. Okay?"
"Okay." I agreed, nodding my head over and over, then rushing to my place.
"Hello losers, fatty's, awful human beings that pitifully consider themselves educators, and Welcome to our Presidential Debate. First up, Dick "The Stick" Nelson." Principal Sylvester droned.
Dick walked up to the microphone and flicked back his greasy flow. "My brother Rick "The Stick" Nelson ran for President, and was totally cheated out of it. But because I know how lame all the other people that are running are, I'm not worried about losing. I pledge to have topless Tuesday's, here at WMHS, and a bunch of other stuff that my co-president will do. VOTE FOR THE STICK!"
Every hockey guy in the room stood up and clapped for him. I rolled my eyes and waited.
Jake and I were the last ones.
"Last and probably least, Scarlet Angus and her running mate Jacob Puckerman."
Jake nodded at me and the lights darkened and flipped back on. I tumbled into the middle of the gym stopping beside Jake.
Oh, no.
[Jake:]
Yeah
Ya'll know what it is
Scarlet Angus
Jake P, aha.
Let's rage
The music dropped and Jake and I slowly started crumping to the music, stomping our feet in rhythm with the cheerio's who were making their way out to us. I flicked the front of my jacket in time with Jake, turning back to the audience.
[Scarlet:]
I knew you were
You were gonna come to me
And here you are
But you better choose carefully
'Cause I, I'm capable of anything
Of anything and everything
Make me your Aphrodite
Make me your one and only
But don't make me your enemy, your enemy, your enemy
The Cheerio's danced around me, and Jake ran up the stairs pointing at me, as I pointed at him.
