"Hello and welcome to NYADA's freshman summer dance program. There are 12 of you, so I just want you all to know that because there are 12 of you, I am going to work the crap out of you. These will be the most difficult dance routines you have ever performed. If by some miracle you still want to actually attend NYADA dance classes come fall, I'll personally recommended you to everyone on the board of directors for any Broadway show you desire."

Cassandra July smacked her staff against the dance floor, cocked her hip out and pursed her lips.

I gulped and twiddled my thumbs behind my back.

"Alright. I'm Cassandra July, your new Satan. I hope you all enjoy your stay."

"I'm terrified." I whispered into my cell phone. "NYADA is scary."

"I'm sure you'll be fine!" Ryder laughed. "Aren't you meeting Rachel for lunch?"

I nodded, before remembering that he couldn't see me. "Yeah, we're meeting at the dinner she used to work at. God it's busy here."

"You're in New York. Of course it's busy." He teased. I could here loud laughter and talking in the background. "Are you still visiting me next week?"

I entered the diner and took a seat near the back. "Yes, my plane is already booked and while I'm there I have to visit the boys and we must record a song."

"Aren't you only here for 2 days?" He asked, sounding a little upset.

"Yes, but I'll be in breach of my contract if I don't record this song." I groaned, rubbing my forehead. "Ryder I love you and I want to spend as much time as I can with you and it would mean the world to me if you could be there when I'm recording."

I could've ran a marathon in the same time it took Ryder to respond.

"I want to spend as much time as possible with you too."

"Then its a date." I smiled.

"With my wife."

"With your wife." I giggled, "Oh Rachel's here, I gotta go."

"Okay, Love you!"

"I love you too." I giggled, hanging up and throwing my phone in my bag. "Rachel!"

"Scarlet! I can't believe you're in New York!" she shrieked, running up and hugging me tightly.

"I've been in New York for a week!" I laughed, "But I know you're very busy."

"Okay, smart ass." She tsked. "How's Cassandra?"

I rolled my eyes, "Shes, a lunatic." I sighed, pulling out the menu. "Wow, lots of meat."

Rachel pulled the menu out of my hands. "I'll order for you, they make the best vegan wraps here."

I shrugged, "How's Broadway?" Rachel was offered an understudy gig as Alphaba in Wicked, sure understudy sucks but she has to climb her way to the top again. I would never tell her this, but what she did was really low and I don't think she deserved to be accepted back into the Broadway community again so soon. She hardly had to work at all.

"It's good, I think the lead is starting to get a cold so I might actually get to perform one night."

"Thats so cool, you'll have to get me tickets."

Rachel nodded, "Of course. How's living with Pucks little brother and what's her name again?"

"Jake and Bianca are pretty good room-mates actually. Jake's a secret neat-freak and Bianca is a great cook. My contract with Hi or Hey Records pays the bills. You could say I'm living the life a luxury." I laughed, the waiter set our food down, and it looked amazing. "New York, has the best food."

"I kind of miss Breadstix though." Rachel sighed, stirring her iced tea. "I've never had anything staler."

We talked and talked, and cracked a few more jokes about Lima before it was time for me to get going. Part of the program was getting a 3 hour private practice with Cassandra July each week, and mine is in an hour.

"Wait!" Rachel stood up and pulled me towards the stage. "It's tradition, you have to sing one song before you can leave."

"Do you guys know chandelier?" I asked, quietly pulling down the mic. The band nodded and I smiled at the ground. "I'm Scarlet Angus and this is chandelier."

Party girls don't get hurt
Can't feel anything, when will I learn
I push it down, push it down

I'm the one "for a good time call"
Phone's blowin' up, ringin' my doorbell
I feel the love, feel the love

1, 2, 3 1, 2, 3 drink
1, 2, 3 1, 2, 3 drink
1, 2, 3 1, 2, 3 drink

Throw 'em back, till I lose count

I'm gonna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier
I'm gonna live like tomorrow doesn't exist
Like it doesn't exist
I'm gonna fly like a bird through the night, feel my tears as they dry
I'm gonna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier

But I'm holding on for dear life, won't look down won't open my eyes
Keep my glass full until morning light, 'cause I'm just holding on for tonight
Help me, I'm holding on for dear life, won't look down won't open my eyes
Keep my glass full until morning light, 'cause I'm just holding on for tonight
On for tonight

Sun is up, I'm a mess
Gotta get out now, gotta run from this
Here comes the shame, here comes the shame

1, 2, 3 1, 2, 3 drink
1, 2, 3 1, 2, 3 drink
1, 2, 3 1, 2, 3 drink

Throw 'em back till I lose count

I'm gonna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier
I'm gonna live like tomorrow doesn't exist
Like it doesn't exist
I'm gonna fly like a bird through the night, feel my tears as they dry
I'm gonna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier

But I'm holding on for dear life, won't look down, won't open my eyes
Keep my glass full until morning light, 'cause I'm just holding on for tonight
Help me, I'm holding on for dear life, won't look down, won't open my eyes
Keep my glass full until morning light, 'cause I'm just holding on for tonight
On for tonight

On for tonight
'Cause I'm just holding on for tonight
Oh, I'm just holding on for tonight
On for tonight
On for tonight
'Cause I'm just holding on for tonight
'Cause I'm just holding on for tonight
Oh, I'm just holding on for tonight
On for tonight
On for tonight
