One week.
We were given one week to do a perfect performance and gain a few more members before sectionals.
"...and that's how I painted our horses hot pink." Bianca laughed. "Are you even listening?"
My head popped up and I stopped in my tracks. "Sorry? Something about painting pigs?" I asked, ever since the events of last Friday I hadn't been able to focus on anything. This morning I ran a red light and almost killed a family of squirrels.
"Are you sure you don't want to tell me what happened with Ryder on Friday?" She questioned, stopping at her locker, but not opening it, just placing her hand on the lock. "It's been eating you up."
"No, nothing happened. He sang this song then I told him he wasn't going to be a father and that was the end of it. Not showing up on Thursday was just the proof I needed, I can't trust Ryder. I don't know if I'll ever think of him as a friend again either." I sighed.
Bianca shrugged her shoulders and played with her lock, flicking it up and down.
"Hello ladies." Phil and Bobby chimed, walking up to us and grinning like a bunch of Jack asses. "Hey Bianca."
"Phil." She sneered, crossing her arms. "What would you like?"
They shrugged and pulled out cups from behind their backs. "Shit." I whispered, backing away a little.
"We just wanted to say, " Bobby chuckled and together they threw the slushie's in our faces. "Welcome back Glee Club losers!" Then they high-fived, dropped the cups on the floor and strutted off down the hall.
"What the hell!?" Bianca cried, wiping slushie out of her eyes. "This stings like a bitch!"
"Be thankful it wasn't grape, that one hurts a shit ton more." I complained, ringing out my pony-tail. "We're going to be late for Glee Club."
Bianca started following me down the hall, cringing with every step. "We're going to have to get these dry-cleaned." She whimpered, pulling at her soaked uniform.
When we entered the Glee Club everybody stopped and looked at us. "Holy shit." Finn whispered, rushing over to us with towels. "I thought slushie's were over!?"
I shook my head and wrapped my hair up in a towel. "Obviously not."
"Spencer and I were slushied yesterday." Alistair shrugged, "We weren't even on school property, they nabbed us outside the Lima Bean."
"Me too." Jane sighed, "Friday third period."
Rachel stomped her foot. "This is ridiculous. Last time we had a problem like this Mr. Shue and Coach Beiste made us perform the half time show together..."
