After Emma left, Regina called Graham to ask him to arrest her again, but he was able to reason with her, making her see that this kind of fighting would end up hurting Henry. So, Regina made a new plan to get rid of the Swan twins.
Meanwhile, at Granny's Inn, Emma met with Angie outside her room door
"What exactly did you do?" asked Angie the moment she saw her sister come over
"I cut a branch of Regina's apple tree" said Emma
"Are you out of your mind!?" Angie whisper-shouted back "You know she's going to come back at you somehow, right?"
"I told her, I'm not scared of her" Emma affirmed as Granny came up behind them
"Miss Swan?" she asked. When both twins turned to face her she addressed the blonde "Emma, oh my, this is terribly awkward" she said a bit embarrassed "I need to ask you to leave. I'm afraid we have a "no felons rule" ... it turns out it's a city ordinance" she informed her
"Let me guess, the mayor's office just called to remind you" Emma commented
"You can gather your things but I need to have your room key back" Granny smiled sadly and Emma gave her key back
"Told you" said Angie to her sister
Once Emma had grabbed her things, they went outside Granny's
"So what are you gonna do now?" asked Angie
"I don't know yet" replied Emma. That's when they saw the clamp on Emma's Bug
"Ha, so much for leaving town now" said Angie. Emma's phone started ringing then "Yeah?" she answered
"Miss Swan, I'd be happy to continue demonstrating my power but, am I right in guessing your resolve to stay is only growing?" asked Regina on the other side
"You have no idea" Emma was starting to get pissed
"Well then, I think it's time we made peace" said Regina "Why don't you drive over to my office? Or walk, whatever suits you" she asked before hanging up
"Regina?" figured Angie
"Yeah, she wants to talk with me" confirmed Emma
"Be careful, it could be a trap" warned her sister
"I know; I'll call you if I need help" Emma replied before leaving
It was almost 5 PM when Emma got to Regina's office to talk
"I'd like to start by apologizing, miss Swan" said Regina, surprising Emma, as they sat down. "I just have to accept the reality that you and your sister want to be here" she kept talking
"That's right. We do" confirmed Emma
"And that you're here to take my son from me" Regina said
"Okay, let's be clear: I have NO intention of taking him from anyone. And neither does Angie" Emma was quick to clarify
"Well then, what are you doing here?" asked the mayor
"I know I'm not a mother, I think that's pretty self-evident" Emma started explaining "But I did have him, and I can't help that he got in my head and I want to make sure he's okay. We both do. And the more you try to push me out, the more I want to be here. Especially after seeing how troubled he is" she confessed
"You think he's troubled?" Regina wondered
"Well, he's in therapy and I only got through a couple pages of his shrink's notes before you had me arrested, putting all that aside. He thinks everyone in this town is a fairy tale character" Emma said
