That Still Small Voice - Part 2

Inside the mines, the faint barking of a dog could be heard

"Guys, do you hear that?" asked Angie

After listening for a moment, Henry realized what the sound was "It's Pongo!" he exclaimed

"Follow the noise" said Archie, having also recognised his dog's barking

As they moved around the tunnels following the noise, the group found and opening in the wall

"It's loudest over here" Angie said, moving away the piece of metal covering the opening with Archie's help

"What's this?" asked Henry

"Looks like an old elevator" answered Archie "It's to get the mine workers in and out. It goes all the way to the top, that's why we could hear Pongo" he explained

"If we can make it work, we could get out of here" pointed out Angie

"Let's give it a shot" said Archi getting inside

"Come on Henry" Angie said, pushing him inside before her

At the same time they were trying to make the elevator work, outside the mines they were getting ready to blow up the debris at the tunnel's entrance.

Meanwhile, all the way back at the hospital, Mary Margaret was getting ready to leave for the day when David asked her to walk with him outside, as part of his physical therapy. During this walk, he confessed to her that she was the only thing that made sense to him after waking up, the only thing that felt real. Kathryn showed up unexpectedly then, surprising the both of them, thought she didn't hear their conversation. Leaving the couple alone, Mary Margaret decided to quit volunteering so she wouldn't have to go through another heart-breaking conversation like the one she just had.
