Lia
Her hand tangled in his hair, pulling him closer to her. Lia's grip stayed locked onto the metal hoping it would stop him from withdrawing from her again. His right hand slipped around her waist, pulling her middle against him. Both of them were breathless, not wanting to break away from the moment for a second incase it slipped away again.
Bucky turned his body slightly, pushing Lia's against the breakfast bar without removing his lips from hers. She whimpered lightly, keeping her fingers locked tightly in his hair. Her other hand was locked around the metal bicep, as much as she could anyways.
Why had she never noticed how big his arms were? Because fuck me.
Bucky pulled away from her softly, resting his forehead against hers as they both caught their breath. Lia's grip tightened so much her knuckles whitened.
"Please don't go." The words came out before she could stop them, barely above a whisper. He eyed her carefully, his eyes filled with some form of emotion that Lia couldn't quite place.
"I'm dangerous Lia." He kept her forehead against hers, watching her reaction to his words.
"You think I can't use google Barnes?" She smirked, a hint of sarcasm in her tone.
Better to make light of the situation, right?
When he didn't respond she instantly felt her anxiety creep up, making her feel extremely sick. His hand moved from her waist, his gloved fingers running up and down her arm that was still tangled in her hair.
"I know James. I know it all. You don't scare me anymore." Bucky sighed, feeling hit harder by the use of his first name.
"Anymore?"
Shit. Wrong word Lia.
She took in a deep breath, lifting her forehead from his only so she could look into his eyes and speak to him. Her hand moved around onto his cheek, careful not to touch any of the small cuts she had just cleaned.
"I'm not going to lie to you, I was scared at first. You aren't that man anymore and it's obvious after only spending a small amount of time with you. I know what I want Buck. You saved me, put yourself on the line for me. I am forever in your debt."
Bucky's eyes were unreadable. Gratitude? Shock? Confusion? Maybe all of them. Lia said nothing further, keeping her eyes locked with his as her words sank in.
"I'm still that man Lia, he isn't all gone yet. I'm not safe."
"You're safe right now, you've been safe every time we've been together. Bucky please. Don't run from this. Don't run from me."
She knew how desperate she sounded. She didn't even fucking know him. Did she care? No. This felt right to her. More right than anyone else. Than anything else.
Bucky's lips parted, hoping for some kind of rejection to come out. He never wanted to put her in danger. He just wanted her to stay safe. Instead he pushed his lips onto hers, shocking her completely. She took a moment to respond but when she did she kissed him harder than she ever had. Her heart was racing as she grabbed onto anything that she was able to on him. His right hand ran down her ass, grabbing it slightly and causing her to moan. Lia never responded this way normally but he was completely and utterly intoxicating. Bucky squeezed harder, giving her the signal to jump up onto the breakfast bar. Their lips never broke apart, instead Lia pulled him closer to her and wrapped her legs around his waist.
Bucky wasn't sure what overcame him but both his hands moved to her thighs, grabbing them and pulling her closer to him. Lia's hips grinded into his, the cold metal of his arm feeling nice against her flushed skin. She chose not to move her hand yet out of fear this would stop. She had just gained his trust.
"We need to stop." Between every word he spoke there was a kiss, a need to kiss her lips and taste her. Lia was starting to realise he tasted like mint, which normally she never liked but from him? It was addictive.
"Why?" Lia spoke on a gap between a kiss before Bucky pulled his head away from hers, watching her as she pouted.
"I want to take my time with you. Can I take you out?"
"Wined and dined before I'm fucked? Wow Barnes, those 40's dating skills have you pulling out all the stops." Bucky rolled his eyes at her, Lia grinning. "Of course you can take me out."
