Lia

Bucky had been gone for days. He promised her it wouldn't take long but instead she felt as if she was hanging by a thread. The constant news reports of the things John Walker was doing only made things worse. What kind of man does that to someone? Regardless of what happened.

She hadn't left her apartment since he had left, avoiding everyone's calls in a hope that if she ignored the world he would come back quicker. As she sat in bed staring at the wall a knock made her ears perk up slightly and how quickly she rushed up made her head spin. It had to be him.

Lia didn't care that she very clearly looked like shit as she opened the door, being met with Marie rather than the six foot tall super soldier she needed.

"I'm not feeling well." Marie shook her head at Lia's words, pushing past her and into her apartment.

"Do not lie to me Li, I know you too well. Now come on, we're going to get you washed and out of this house. You look paler than casper." Lia knew better than to fight against Marie. Instead, she let her run her a bath and wash her hair.

Marie did everything for Lia apart from placing her in clothes, including dying her hair and putting it up in a claw clip.

"You love him." Her words shocked her, Lia instantly becoming defensive. "It's okay to love."

The tears fell from Lia's eyes quickly and Marie pulled her into a cuddle instantly.

"I don't know if he's okay Marie, how can I live like this? I can't love him."

"You can Li, you can accept to love him. He's going to come back to you." Lia shook her head, sitting up and wiping her tears away.

"I can't. If I choose to love him I'll get my heart broken, I can't do that. I can't lose him."

"You listen to me Mrs, the heart wants what it wants. You love him, accept it or don't it's a fact. He loves you too Lia, it's evident. He will not leave you."

Lia felt sick, hoping more than anything she's right.

"Now, come on a walk with me."
