Author's note: I wanna start this one by saying i am incredibly sorry for the absence! I've had a lot going on with work and just haven't been in the mood to write at all. Hoping I can get back into it so anyways...

Bucky

She said nothing in the car home. Bucky wasn't sure whether she was purely angry or upset, maybe it was both. His mind was spinning with questions he wanted to ask but he recognised trauma responses all too well. Whoever Ben was was a sore subject for the family and it was obvious.

Bucky didn't make an attempt to speak, he was too worried about upsetting her further. He knew she would be embarrassed about her mother's behaviour and it was obvious why she didn't want him to meet her parents in the first place. Michael was nice to him, however, Louise was a nasty piece of work.

"Ben was the man my parents wanted me to marry." Her voice was timid, as if she was scared to speak. "When the winter soldier attacked Captain America and Black Widow on the bridge, he died in a car crash due to the explosives. That's what she meant."

His heart dropped. He did that. Just another casualty to add to his long fucked up list. More amends he needs to make.

"I don't blame you. He was drunk driving, so realistically he would've died regardless. He left me a drunk voicemail before it happened, telling me he had found his new favourite vodka." Lia let out a sound between a laugh and a cry, brushing her hair behind her ear that had fallen over her face. "He was probably driving home to hit me, it's wrong to say I was relieved he never came back."

His jaw hardened at the thought of someone hurting her, putting their hands on her.

"My mother arranged the marriage for me. Something to do with owing his family something."

He wasn't sure what to say. Instead, he pulled over and turned to face her. Lia was staring straight ahead, terrified that he was never going to speak to her again. That this was it.

"Look at me, Lia." When she didn't, he placed his hand against her cheek and turned her head gently towards him. "That doesn't make you a bad person. It's not wrong to want someone to hurt the way they made you hurt."

Her eyes locked with his, searching for some kind of sign he was lying to her. When she didn't find one, she just pushed her lips onto his. Bucky couldn't react, feeling as if it was the entirely wrong time to kiss her. To take advantage of her and her vulnerability.

"Kiss me please." Lia was practically begging him so that she could feel something, to forget everything that had happened or been said that night.

The hand that was resting on her cheek tangled it's way into her hair, gripping it slightly and pulling her lips back to his. She whimpered against his mouth, placing her hand on his thigh to balance herself. Her whimpering only encouraged him further, tightening his grip on her hair and sliding his other hand up her thigh.

The pair pulled apart and rested their foreheads against each other, their breathing heavy.

"Thank you Buck, honestly." He smiled a little but couldn't help the ache he had in his chest.

Just another person he had hurt.
