I sighed and drank some water to refresh my mind. I've been playing with my magic, Reading ones thoughts, looking at their memories. Its superb.

I'm a mind reading machine!!!

A voice stopped my heart on beating, time stopped working, and the world stopped moving. I turned to face just for assurance because I know that voice and it belongs to Cal.

"May I have this dance, Your Highness?" He asked politely.

"Of course!" I answered. Taking his outstretched hands.

We stepped into the dance floor, not thinking of what would people say. We waltzed into the music. I looked into his warm eyes and he did the same to mine.

"I'm sorry if I wasn't able to ask you for a dance lately" He whispered.

"It's fine... You have your rounds as a Prince and I have mine as a Princess" I answered smiling at him.

My heart was beating faster when he pulled me closer. Slow song came and I put my head on his shoulder, smelling his strong scent.

"You look absolutely breathtaking" Cal whispered into my ears.

"Thank you... You cleaned up yourself well, Your Highness" I mocked, making him giggle.

He pulled me away from the dance. He led me to the garden where we first touched. Cool breeze surprised us as we emerged from the palace.

"A break from madness!" I exclaimed.

Cal and I walked hand in hand, slowly walking pass the perfect cut bushes. Some brown locks escaped his fixed hair. Cal watched his steps while I stared at him, neither of us saying a thing.

"D-do I have any chances... Any chances that you will marry me?" Cal asked as he swung our hands. Looking at me after he made a statement. That caught me off guard.

"Maybe" I shrugged and he seems dissatisfied on what I said. "You have to see it for yourself... And maybe if it's the right time to ask, I'll say yes" I added.

He sighed and squeezed my hands. He softly kissed it and my heart began to jump, a blush creeps on my cheeks.

"I will do everything to let you say yes" He pulled me against his warm body. "Everything"

I giggled, wrapping my arms around his neck and he did the same on my waist. I pulled his face into mine, I gave him a light kiss on his lips. He's the only guy to make my heart somersault after I close my heart for love.

Kieran was handsome, he gave me feels but that's it! Nothing else... I slowly pulled away, smiling at him.

"Does that increases my chances?" He smirked.

I nodded slowly.

Queen Delancy Seraphina Calore

I smiled at that thought. He raised an eyebrow at me. I chuckled when I saw his face.

"What's so funny?" He asked confused.
"And what were you thinking?"

"I laughed because of your face... You look confused... And, I believe I was thinking of your last name on mine" I answered, toying with his hair.

"Delancy Calore" He whispered but loud enough for me to hear.

Our moment was cut short by Maven's calling.

"Brother. Delancy. Father wants your presence" Maven called.

We both walked inside, with Maven ahead of us. Cal walked a little straighter as we head towards the ballroom. Their eyes are on us, but Evangeline's glare was hot on my body. Making me shiver a bit.

I retreated to my position beside Amielle. King Tiberias addresses his people. While we sat there watching and listening to his words.

"What happened back there?" Amielle whispered.

"Nothing... We just talk" I said quickly.

Amielle patted my shoulder and I just smiled. The ball ended, Tiberias speech was the closing remarks. We all head to our respective rooms. Insomnia got the best of me again. I decided to work on the budget cuts in the Main Library, the usual place.

I cross the palace as quiet as possible, silvers were occupying the east wing. I have no power against all of them. I pass the rooms of Lords and Ladies of Norta, the quiet I am, the louder were the couple in front of me.

It's no ordinary couple, it was Cal and Evangeline. They were like Celeste and Maxon when America caught them in the hallways. But I didn't froze like America, I let them do their thing. My melted heart was now frozen, tears cannot escape my eyes how much I want them to.

I walked away quietly, descending for the second floor as quickly as possible. My heart was beating fast with jealousy and panic. I opened the library doors and shut it for my own use. I busied myself and occupied my mind just like before. Mentally hurting myself for being stupid.

For falling that fast.

.......................................................

Sunlight cascading the windows as I stretched my limbs and getting off bed. I was able to get to my room after I tortured my brains.

Tired and emotionless.

"The Silvers already left for Norta five hours ago" Anne talking to Mary as she fixed my hair and I busied myself reading a war report.

"But Prince Cal didn't let Lady Evangeline go home.... He wants her to stay" Mary answered and I furrowed my eyebrows, concentrating on reading. I grunted impatiently.

"Everything alright, Ms?" Anne asked as she looked at my distressed reflection.

"Everything's fine.... I'm just stupid for staying up all night" I lied giving her a paparazzi smile.

Anne just nod her head and they quietly finished what they were doing. My head's down as I head to the dining hall. The Kings and Queens weren't there but I curtsied. Then settled beside Amielle.

They were laughing but I couldn't get along. Cal's in front of me and I couldn't bare to see him. Wendy noticed my actions and she motioned everyone to keep quiet. They all looked at me, I lowered my head.

"Perhaps a little smile on your face can lighten the morning, Del" Wendy joked but when she noticed I buy it, she stopped. "What's wrong, sis?" She added, clearly concerned now.

I can feel their eyes hot on mine, especially Cal's. I sighed loudly and forced myself to look up. I meet his gaze and I looked away.

"Nothing's wrong... Insomnia got the best of me last night" I answered in monotone.

"So that explains the loud banging of the Main Library?" Mathew asked.

"Yes.... I finished my work so I can go out and loosen up a bit" I said, their faces lit up because of the 'going out' thought. "And I tend to do it, ALONE"

"Sounds like a problem... Care to tell us?" Amielle says touching my cold fist.

"No!" I said quickly and stand up when I heard our parents enter.

We all sunk into curtsy. Making them smile bigger. I ate my breakfast quietly, avoiding eye contact. How much I avoid everyone, they still asked me random questions that I politely answered. But one question that caught me off guard.

"What are your plans for today, Delancy?.... You gave me your work, all finished.... Something's up?" Father asked and I let go of my fork.

"My plans for today are to have a drive around the city, look at the people and be one of them, I tend to do it alone" I answered politely.

"Interesting plans.... Amielle?" Father says.

"We talked about going out too.... But we won't bother Delancy's plans in the city" Amielle answered courageously.

Father nod and Tiberias told Cal and Maven that they are free to come with Amielle's company. We exited the dining hall and I ran to my room, changing to the simplest clothes I could find.
