In just five days, Wendy will be once again a wife. Wendy was excited as much as Maven. Mare and I made sure the wedding will be spectacular.

Wendy's first wedding had a connection with spring, so we decided to connect her day with Maven to both Norta and Gardenia. It will be of course held here in Gardenia because it will also be the coronation of Maven as Prince of Gardenia.

"Lace? Or Jewels?" Mare asked, holding up the lace and jeweled cloth.

"Lace! Makes it simpler yet sexier than jewels" I answered.

"Lace sleeves with sweetheart neckline!" She cheered.

My head lady in waiting, Anne, was quick to draw whatever design we decided. Wendy was of course there to check if the decisions we made will pass her taste, fortunately, she loved it all.

"If it's all lace, the gown won't have its glittering glow" Mare pouted.

Wendy laughed at her and Anne shook her head as a response.

"My lady, we will of course choose a lace with glitters to give it a glow. A lace itself will be grand then add it with glitters-" All of a sudden, Mare cut Anne off.

"EVEN BETTER!!!" Mare exclaimed.

We weren't able to contain our laughter. Mom giggled while trying her best to finish her cross-stitch without breaking her concentration. Unfortunately we broke it for her. Mare was in hype because of too much sweet consumption.

A maid burst into the room, she whispered something in mom's ear. Mommy tried her best to control her face. I don't know if she will frown or grimace. She's kinda hard to read, typical queen with Spanish and silver blood running in her veins.

"The newest addition to the royal council arrived just this morning," Mommy said.

"What will we do then?" I asked.

"There will be a formal dinner in the dining hall with the council and their families as well. So, I'm requesting you're best behavior and best garments tonight" Mom answered.

"You can guarantee it mom!" The three of us said in unison that caught us off guard. Then burst into fits of laughter.

After the Women's Room session, the three of us hurried to our rooms to get ready for the dinner. Our ladies in waiting were also been informed about the dinner. Mary, Anne and Thalia were busy turning my chaotic room into a relaxation den.

The moment I entered the room, they pulled me to the bath and helped me stripped off every piece of cloth before ushering me inside the tub. They manicured and pedicure my fingers and toes.

Silently, they put on the gown they made for the said dinner. Sleeveless, glittered lace as straps and the outer cloth layer, and it doesn't have a petticoat like the usual ball gowns.

"How about no braids for tonight?" Mary suggested.

"Not braided but teased!" Thalia interfere.

"I'll say, let just let down her hair, a bit teased at the top then clip some hair that will be falling to her face." Anne told them.

"And a hair accessory as a substitute for the typical crown" I piped in.

They nod their head and made their magic.

"Delancy! You look elegant!" Mare gasped, she was wearing a blue ball gown with jeweled bodice. Her hair was styled in a complicated bun of braids that will surely take hours to get every single pen and a small bottle of shampoo to take the hairspray out of her hair.

Otherwise, she look beautiful.

Amielle appeared beside Mare and took her arm after winking at me. Mare and Maven entered the dining hall first before Amielle and Mare. The last one who entered the room was me, since I've got no one to escort me inside.

"Your Highness, please meet Lord Alasdair Macdalle of Skylar, the newest addition to the royal council" Earl Jesse introduced.

The dinner ended and we headed to the ball room for a little welcome party.

The brownish - blonde, blue eyed and young nobleman gave me a graceful curtsy. I returned it with my own graceful curtsy, then looked at him through my lashes. I observed he's taking in my princess features.

After the Earl introduced Alasdair to me, he turned to Mare and Amielle whilst I just sat down, not in the mood for a dance since Maxon wasn't there to dance with me.

"A dance, Your Highness?" A gentle yet manly voice with a distinct accent asked. I turned to see Alasdair standing behind me with outstretched hand.

Looking at him, I realize I don't have the heart to turn this offer down. So I gladly took it.

"Of course, Lord Macdalle" My slender finger slowly touched his bug ones.

His soft grip turned into a firm one once we were in the middle of the dance floor. He firmly wrapped his arms around my waist with an intense gaze that made me stare right at him. Then we glided to the music.

It was a bit awkward at first but then we waltz like we have waltz before.

"Lord Macdalle, you really have a graceful body" I complemented.

"Not as graceful as a royal, Your Highness" He chuckled.

"Please call me Delancy" I said.

"Just call me Alasdair then," He winked. "So we're even"

I giggled at his funny face.

Suddenly, I felt a strange chill ran up to my spine. Then voices rushed my head, I have to grip Alasdair's shoulder tightly for me to focus.

"Do you think the princess is falling to the young nobleman?"

"Maybe"

"Look at her stare at his eyes!"

"Prince Maxon is nothing compared to Alasdair"

WHAT?!

My prince nothing compared to the newest addition to the court?

Ridiculous! Maxon is EVERYTHING of Alasdair. I won't betray my brown eyed prince to this blue eyed nobleman.

Itching to end the dance, I reached for the leader of quartet's mind then whispered inside his head to stop the music. Which he lucky did.

I hid my mischievous grin to give Alasdair one last curtsy before leaving for the night.
