Dusk was approaching and Cinderheart was heading out of camp. She felt a bit excited to see Hollyleaf, she walked into the forest sniffing the air. She caught the smell of mouse following in and crouching down into the bushes her eyes locked on the small gray creature. She leaped onto it pinning it down with a paw, wait do I kill it? Or.. do I take to her alive? Cinderheart picked up the mouse keeping it alive. The thing screeched in confusion and terror sorry I guess she thought heading into the tunnels. She looked around walking inside Where is she? Wondered Cinderheart her tail twitching. She put down the mouse but kept her paw on its tail so it couldn't run away "Hollyleaf!" She called "Hollyleaf! Hollyleaf it's me!" She called "I have you a snack!" She yowled. No answer, she looked around a bit panicked. "Here!" Hollyleaf emerged from the shadows "Sorry I almost forgot" "It's okay..." Cinderheart trailed off staring at Hollyleaf the she-cat's eyes were a mixture of red and green making a brownish color. "Uh what's with your eyes?" Cinderheart asked "Oh yeah that my eyes apparently turn redder the hungrier I am" Hollyleaf explained "Wait so your hungry already?" Hollyleaf nodded "The rats down here have realized what's gonna happen to them because I have to leave their bodies lying around cause when I try to just eat their whole body, I puke it back up!"
"Well good thing I brought you something" she pulled up her paw letting the mouse run off. Hollyleaf chased after it, pouncing and burying her fangs into it. The mouse screeched, Hollyleaf layed a paw on it keeping it from escaping. Hollyleaf started sucking the blood of the small creature but once she started it stopped trying to run and just sat there looking strangely calm what the? It didn't take long for it to fall limp dead a couple heartbeats later its body was noticeably shriveled and stiff. Hollyleaf sat up licking her bloody lips "Well that was nice but not very filling" She admitted, "Oh well I did learn something about what's going on with you" Hollyleaf looked at her confused "You might wanna sit down for this"
After Cinderheart explained the whole thing about purdy at the meeting, Hollyleaf sat there wide eyed "So cats now somewhat know what's going on?" Hollyleaf asked "Not exactly some cats aren't convinced others.. well" "are" Hollyleaf finished her sentence "Yeah but hey at least not every cat is convinced" Hollyleaf's tail was twitching "Y-yeah" Cinderheart locked eyes with Hollyleaf for a moment her eyes still glittered with that red tint. "Your still hungry" She murmured "I'll go catch a mouse or-" "No. Thats obviously not gonna work" Pointed out Cinderheart "I mean you just drank a mouse dry and that barely did anything" "Okay well then what am I supposed to do? I'm not going outside until it's unlikely anyone's awake. Especially if there's cats who think I'm a undead monster which is kinda true but still" She meowed "Okay uh one you're not a monster and two I can leave and like I said yesterday-" "Absolutely not."
"Well do you have any better ideas Ms. 'I won't let anybody help me'" Hollyleaf went silent and had this 'well what am I supposed to say to that' look on her face. Which made Cinderheart chuckle, Hollyleaf stared at her. Suddenly an idea popped into her head "What if you drink my blood?" Hollyleaf stared at her wide eyed "WHAT?!" Hollyleaf stood up "NO. NO. NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT!" She stomped her paw "Then what? You wanna starve? If you starve, you'll probably kill somebody!" Cinderheart retorted "So what you'd rather be killed instead of someone else?!" Asked Hollyleaf horrified "No! What I meant is you drink a little then let go!" "I don't know if I can do that!" Hollyleaf insisted still refusing.
"I know you can and even if you can't use, your 'vampire venom' on me" Hollyleaf still looked very hesitant, but her gaze was flicking up and down with a look of pure hunger. "Fine" she growled reluctantly "Sit down and stay very, very still." Hollyleaf's voice was firm. She nodded sitting down her tail curled over her paws. Cinderheart's heart pounded her tail tip twitching, she felt Hollyleaf's breath on her neck making the fur on her neck rising. Hollyleaf's lips touched her neck, Cinderheart felt heat on her cheeks but then she felt sharp fangs pierced through her skin.
