Hello, my name is Abbey and my pronouns are she/her. Welcome to Innocence by me.

Firstly, I would like to thank you for choosing to give my book a chance. This is my first time writing a book, so please excuse the fact that it may not be the best.

I will be updating this as much as I can, but you must bare in mind I am currently in university and may struggle at times to be consistent with my updating schedule. This is an apology in advance.

I want to make another apology in advance for accidentally making any typos/grammar mistakes throughout this story. Furthermore, I think it is important to note that I am British, English to be exact, so PLEASE don't come for me in the comments for spelling 'favourite' with a 'U' instead of without, etc.

Now, I'm just going to give you a little backstory, so you understand what this story will be about ...
This is a y/n x Draco Malfoy fan fiction. It's the year 1996. They are in their sixth year at Hogwarts, but are aged EIGHTEEN, unlike the books/films when they are aged sixteen. Therefore, ALL characters are adults, unless said otherwise.

This story will NOT follow the plot of the books and films. Meaning there is no war because I want everyone to experience a normal student life at Hogwarts. However, Harry Potter is still 'the Chosen One' because he defeated You Know Who that night in Godric's Hollow. Voldermort died there and will never return because all of his Horcrux's where destroyed by people in the Order.

Y/n is placed in Slytherin, despite everyone believing there has been a mistake due to her kind, optimistic, humble and innocent nature. She is also a half-blood, causing her to be disliked by many Slytherins because of their pure-blood prejudices.

On the other hand, Draco is cold, dismissive and ruthless towards many. You will learn to love him in the end, despite his toxicity, I promise. He is known for being quite the player at Hogwarts. He is used to getting what he wants and finds himself confused and conflicted when he encounters someone who isn't interested. This girl unknowingly makes me become obsessed with her and he will stop at nothing to get her.

Due to them being complete opposites y/n and Draco dislike each other very much. Y/n receives consistent abuse from Draco because of her blood status and therefore, he believes she doesn't belong in Slytherin. Despite all the years of belittling and tormenting her, this year he is looking at her very differently and fantasising about things he knows he shouldn't be.

I worked really hard on this story, so please be respectful in the comments. I welcome constructive criticism because I would love to hear your thoughts, but down right hate is not tolerated. Unfortunately, I will have no choice, but to block people who are continuously being obnoxious and disrespectful.
