Maxiel?

We boarded the second plane and I took my seat next Max.
I just couldn't hold back and had to ask.
"Hey so I have a question?", I needed to know if it was true. "Yes." "It's a bit personal.", I warned him. "I guess I can always just refuse to answer.", he was pragmatic. "So I heard a rumor in the paddock. I know those rumours are mostly fabricated but there is always an ounce of truth in them. So I just have to ask and you do not need to answer.". I explained. We talked in a hushed voice as I didn't want anyone listening in on this conversation.

"Where you and Daniel ever romantically involved?"

I could feel my face grow warm as I was kind of embarrassed of asking this. Why was I such a nosey person? Max looked uncomfortable. "I'm sorry it's really not my place to ask this. Forget it.", I said when I felt him grow even more agitated.
"How...", he stuttered. "Max you don't need to. Forget I asked it was insensitive. It's none of my concern.", I grabbed his hand.
"No it's just... yes.", he looked defeated. 
I must've looked shocked. "It's fine if you don't wanna talk to me anymore. My dad always says that people like me-", he looked like he would cry right then and there. "Stop it. You father is an idiot. Why would I not talk to you anymore. It's cool with me. You're still Max.", I smiled at him. "So tell me about it? If your fine with it?", I had a lot of questions. All this new information was making me all giddy.
"I can tell you some stuff. No I'm not gay. I like women and men.", he seemed a bit more relaxed. "Nice. Does anyone know about your and Daniels past or is it still going?", I was way too invested already. "So my mum knows and that's it. I didn't really have someone close in F1 other than Daniel before you came along. So we were never officially together so I guess it never really ended. But yeah we haven't been with each other for some time because of obvious reasons.", he explained. "It makes much more sense why you two were so distraught.", I spoke quietly. "Yes and thank you for pushing us towards each other again.", he smiled. "But when you had girlfriends...". "Then Daniel and I were just friends. I guess we've been just friends for a good two years now.", Max realised.
"Thank you.", I spoke softly. "For?" "Trusting me. Your secret is safe with me.", I held out my pinky finger. "Even from George?", Max asked scared. "Yes even from George.", I promised.

The rest of the flight we talked some more and I sometimes made some comments to tease him.
"You know what I really don't get though? Daniel was trying to set us up. What's his deal? Is he a masochist or something?", I asked. "Yeah about that. He is kinda weird like that. I don't know how often he tries to set me up with some women or men.", Max looked embarrassed. "Weird boy", I chuckled. "Now that you know do you wanna join us tomorrow for a movie night?", Max asked with a glimmer of hope in his eyes. "Are you gonna make out? Because than yes!", I laughed. Max clapped his hand over my mouth. "No we will not. I told you we don't do that anymore.", Max whisper yelled and had to surpass a laugh. "Ok I'll still join but no more horror films.", I declared. "Fine Daniel loves them but I guess we can make an exception for you.", he grinned.

I drove home from Nice airport my mind still comprehending what Max told me. How could we all miss this. I mean Max said they kind off broke it off two years ago but how come no one ever saw it? All those Maxiel edits were kinda right. The drive took me a good 45 minutes with traffic. Stoffel would not be home as he has a race coming up somewhere in the world. I kinda already lost track of that.
I dropped my stuff in the living room and opened the fridge to find that I would either have to go to the store or order something. The latter just sounded a lot better.
I ordered a salad and some salmon. Kalle said I had to watch my weight because I gained a lot of muscle and muscle is heavy. 
I turned on the tv and started Netflix to watch Balckfish a documentary that talks about the problems with keeping orcas in captivity.
After that I went to sleep seeing as I suffering with the jet leg quite bad.

I woke up the next morning after sleeping for 18 hours. I must've been tired

I loved waking up in this bed in Monaco. The view was great and it was just so much nicer than any hotel bed can ever be. I heard my ringtone and looked who was calling.
Incoming call: Max 
L: "Hey!"
M: "Hey, I hope I didn't wake you up?"
L: "No worries. I woke up some time ago. What's up?"
M: "about tonight. Are we still on? Daniels excited."
L: "sure we are. Just text me when I should come over and I'll be there."
M: "ok I will talk with Dan and then I'll text you. Looking forward to it."
L: "me too. See you later."

My day consisted of sorting my laundry and cleaning our flat.  Later that day I played some COD with Lando and Alex. George was having a family day so he was absent. I told him about my evening plans so that if we wanted to talk on the phone it needed to be before that or tomorrow.
I whipped up some rice with veggies for lunch - Kalle would be proud. Speaking of the devil he came around in the afternoon and made me go on a run. Have I mentioned that I despise running? I hate it.
"Kalle why do we have to for a run? Can't we do some other cardio?", I complained 10 minutes into the run. I already felt like quitting. "Don't moan you need to be fitter. Running is a good way to ensure that.". After an hour we got back to my apartment and Kalle left.
I took a shower and my limbs felt like they were gonna fall off at any given moment.  After that I got ready for my movie night with my favourite on grid duo.
This could get interesting.

I didn't know if I was supposed to bring stuff and was to lazy to ask so I just took some snacks with me. I took my car to drive to Max' and Daniel's building. 
This nicht was gonna be great.
