We drank a few more drinks and then left Daniel's flat. "I must admit that I already feel the alcohol.", Daniel said in our Uber. "Same. But that's the only right way.", I said. Max was quiet but looked content. "So will I see some Maxiel action tonight?", I chuckled. "No Lin.", Max laughed. "Sad. I was hoping to see some real life fanfiction happening." "Sorry to put a dent into your plan but I actually am dating someone and I really like her so even though Max would be available I'm not.", Daniel explained. " I wanna meet her. She must be wonderful!", I smiled. "She is.", Daniel looked all loved up. "I'm the lonely single.", Max complained. " you needn't worry. As soon as we walk into anything there will be dozens of girls queuing up for you.", I tried to consolidate. "Easier said than done. This man is hella picky", Daniel judged. "I am not.", Max complained. "Yes you are. Don't even try to deny it. But it's not about hooking up tonight anyways. We gonna have some fun just us three.", Daniel announced.
The start of this sad excuse for a bar crawl was rascasse. Everyone who watches f1 or even just f1 in Monaco knows the name. So I felt a bit stupid seeing as I've never actually been inside. In my younger years I was too young and later on I was too focused on racing. "So this is the place. I still can't believe you've never been.", Daniel said as we walked in. People noticed us but not one came up to us to ask for pictures or anything. Daniel led us to the back of the room. Everyone here seemingly knew him. "We always go to the VIP section. It's just too much otherwise. They would take pictures and everything.", Max explained after we stepped inside.
The alcohol was flowing and we danced together. At some point I was cry laughing at Daniel's antics. Max looked like he enjoyed it too. I've not seen him smile that much before. "Dance with me!", Daniel screamed and twirled me around. "Ricciardo's got moves.", I laughed and danced with him. Max looked like he felt left out so I grabbed him by his arm and pulled him into our dance. I hadn't let loose like this in a long time and it felt great. With Daniel especially I felt like I could do anything that would embarrass me in front of him.
The alcohol kept coming and to be quite honest we all should've stopped a long time ago but we had too much fun to stop it now.
"Ok we should really get to Buddha bar. Because if I drink one more drink I'll definitely need to puke.", Daniel announced as charming as ever.
"We should take an Uber. I don't trust our walking", Max said and called someone. Meanwhile we followed Daniel to the toilets.
M: "hey can you bring us to Buddha?
?: "sure I was heading there anyways"
M: "Thanks. We are at Rascasse"
"Who did you call?", I spoke very slowly. "A friend of mine. He will pick us up and bring us.",Max spoke drunkenly.
"Nice", I suddenly felt tired. I guess that's the adrenaline leaving my body. I put my head on Max shoulder as we were currently waiting for Daniel to get out of the toilets. "You tired?", Max asked. "Very much so. But it'll go away with one drink.", I chuckled. "We can always go home if you want to.", he offered. "No don't worry. If I really need to get home I will get myself an Uber and Uber home. I still wanna dance some more and see how Daniel will make an absolute fool outta him.", I spoke slowly.
"Sorry the line was crazy. Let's get going" , Daniel grabbed our hands and pulled us out.
Max friend drove us to Buddha bar and left us alone again. This time it seemed like everyone knew Max. "You a regular here?". I joked. "Yes actually I was.", he chuckled. "Kids stop the chit chat let's fricking go!!!", Daniel screamed.
We were brought to the VIP section again and served some expensive drinks. "Cheers to this awesome friendship.", Daniel's cheered. "Cheers!", I screamed. "Let's dance!", I shouted over the music.
We went on the dance floor and busted some moves as Daniel would say. I started dancing with Daniel who then gave up his spot for Max. "Show us how the young ones do it nowadays!", Daniel cheered.
We lost track of time and space. I couldn't describe the kind of light fun I felt during this night. There were no tense moments no weirdly ending conversations or anything of that sort. It was just perfect and what I needed. "Boys?", I shouted. They both looked at me. "Thank you for this!", I hugged them. "Anytime squirt.", Daniel hugged me back and kissed my head. "No thank you.", Max hugged me back. "Are we already at the point in the night where we get sentimental and cry about how much we love each other?", Daniel asked. "No. I just wanted to tell you guys how much this here means to me.", I said realising that I was doing what Daniel just described. "Oh forget it", I laughed.
I was blissfully unaware that some of the people were taking pictures of us drinking and dancing.
After some more drink and dancing I was ready for bed. I looked at my phone and saw it was 5.34 a.m. "Guys I think I'm gonna leave. I'm tired.", I announced. "I'll leave too.", Max said. "I second that.", Daniel said.
We walked out of Buddha bar and I immediately regretted my life choices. "Would you guys wait with me until my Uber gets here?", I asked them. "Sure thing. We can share too. Seeing as we all live in the same area.", Daniel kinda yelled. "Yes."
The car got here and we got in with a few difficulties. "Oh my flight is gonna be hell tomorrow!", I started laughing. "Hahahah sucks to have an English man.", Daniel laughed at me.
My flat was the first stop of our ride. Max and Daniel said goodbye to me and I left for my way too expensive looking flat. At this moment in time I felt the alcohol a bit much. Oh how I was gonna regret drinking in the morning.
