(^her sword^)
We got settled back in in the castle before I told my parents I was going out and I left, heading for the beach. I grumbled softly to myself as sand slipped inside my tennis I chose to wore and tightened my pony tail before I stopped and dumped the sand out of my shoes.
I should've worn sandals...
I sighed heavily and continued on, jogging the rest of the way. I arrived a few minutes later and hesitantly stepped into the cave.
"Hello?" I called, looking around the dark cave.
"Welcome home." A semi familiar voice echoed around me.
"So... im supposed to train here?" I asked softly, turning in a slow circle. I jumped as the woman from my dream materialized from the darkness.
(Mahira's dress, ignore the white circles and such, I got the pic from Pinterest)"Yes, your parents are pretty much the most powerful wolfbloods -or I guess in your fathers case shapeshifter- after your grandparents on both sides. You will end up being known as the most powerful witch, after your aunt Mav, with my help."
"Are you a witch?" I asked, studying her.
"You could call me that I suppose. I am known as a seer usually, I helped your mother train. The only real difference now is... you won't be in this world when it comes your time.""Hold on, what's that supposed to mean?"
"I can't give away too much, but I guess I can explain a little. I'm not sure when, but you and one other person will basically be transported to another world that is ruled by a hierarchy much like Astoria. The king who rules uses a witch to keep him young, but he does so not to keep his kingdom safe and happy, he does it to keep power. Your job, along with others you will meet along the way, is to defeat him, and declare the real heir, the king. Will you accept my help for the future quest?"I blinked at her blankly as my thoughts raced.
I'm supposed to travel to a different world!? Overthrow a tyrant with some people I don't even know?! I mean yeah I'm curious about a new world but how long do I have until I go poof?I took a deep breath and ran a hand through my hair.
"You can help me with my magic? Before I... leave?" I asked softly.
"That will be my intention yes, I only hope I can help before you leave." She replied, giving me a soft smile.
"Ok, let's do it."
A moment after the words left my lips a green ball of light was flung at me, to which I barely had enough time to dodge and give the woman a confused look.
"Let the training commence."~~~~~~~~
Five years laterOver the years I trained with the woman who trained my mother, Mahira, and got faster, stronger and smarter. I made my own spells and used them in training to gain the upper hand while we fought. We never visited Alaska, but I couldn't bring myself to ask to visit since I was too busy with my training. Mom and dad got suspicious the more I disappeared and even confronted me about it, but I only replied with a simple 'extra training' and it seemed to appease them at the time. I began training with the guards of the palace as well to train with a weapon, I even learned to summon my own made of magic, a green mist seemed to run off of it whenever I use it, which leaves two more items for me to find to defeat the tyrant.
Despite my attempts to forget about Alaska and a certain someone I had frequent dreams about him. Damian was practically always in my thoughts. Whenever I'd do a funny prank, I'd wonder what he would think about it. Whenever I made a new spell to use for training I'd wonder what he would say or do.
It drove me absolutely insane, but I forced myself to focus on the task at hand as Mahira threw another magic blast at me."You seem distracted Astrid, are you feeling ok? Are you feeling anything strange?" She asked, concerned.
Anytime I seem out of it, which is a lot more often then I'd like, she gets worried that I'm being pulled to the 'new world'.
"I'm alright, just lost in thought." I replied, right before a shockingly painful headache flared at the front of my mind.
"Astrid!" Mahira called, sounding oddly far away. I squeezed my eyes shut and pressed my palms to my head as it continued to pound before it suddenly left and the sound of birds chirping caught my attention. My eyes shot open and I found myself in the middle of strange woods. I couldn't recognize anything, meaning I wasn't in Alaska or Astoria. The realization dawned on me as I studied a rustling bush and a little fuzzy rabbit hopped out of its burrow with three little babies following behind. I kept thinking this couldn't have happened, it was impossible, I wasn't ready. I guess that's the worst thing about fate, it's not up to you. I spun in a slow circle and called for my parents, tense and worried.
How am I supposed to survive? I don't know a thing about this place.... And how am I supposed to find the people who are supposed to help me?
The thing that really gave away where I was, was the antlers on their heads.
I'm in the new world....
