The gang followed me as I led the way through the woods, everyone keeping silent and listening for anything suspicious.

About an hour or so later the trees feel away and there stood a giant, metal building. It was approximately ten school busses long and five wide, an ugly grey color with people -clearly supernaturals- guarding the perimeter.
"Oh dang..." Ember muttered, staring wide-eyed with the rest of us. A loud crash sounded from inside and resonated around the trees minutes before someone bolted from the building, heading straight for the treeline and -coincidentally- towards us.

"We have to help that girl, and anyone else who's in there." I insisted, straightening.
"Everybody scatter!"
I bolted down the hill and knocked all the guards running after the guy onto their rear ends as I made my way to the building. I didn't bother looking back before I entered and studied my surroundings.
Experimentation rooms, research rooms and even a couple lounges lined the walls, but I ignored them for now. I knew they were holding everyone in cells, most likely below the facility to make it harder to escape.

I glared at the scientists I saw here and there as I passed until finally I found a trap door that lead downwards.
With a quick invisibility spell I slid down and looked around the dimly lit corridor to find dozens of cells filled with at least five people each. Everyone was tense and afraid, huddled in corners furthest from the cell bars.

I noticed the adult men were in certain cells, adult women were in different cells and even children were separate from everyone else, unless they were babies who couldn't even crawl.
I frowned deeply and made myself visible, quickly shushing the people staring in my direction.
"I'm here to help, I promise." I whispered, quickly covering all the childrens cells before I began working on the women.
"What were they doing to all of you?" I asked the women as I unlocked the cells.

"Experimenting." One woman started, holding a tiny baby in her arms.
"Only us with babies were safe from it. They would take someone up, child, man or woman, experiment on them for a while and if whatever they did worked, we would never see the person again. They went straight to the castle is what I heard."
"Alright, well my friends and I will be getting all of you out of here and we'll find somewhere safe for you to stay while we take care of things." I explained, unlocking the mens cells.

"If it's alright I'd like to ask a question." One of the men stated, watching me suspiciously.
"Shoot." I shrugged, allowing him to step from his prison.
"If you're not human what are you? And how are we supposed to blindly trust you." He asked, practically shooting daggers at me.
"Alright first of all mr. Unappreciative, I'm a witch who can easily turn you into a toad. Secondly, I'm you're only chance of surviving this escape so I suggest you trust me to save your rear or you can stay behind 'cause I don't feel like dealing with your attitude today." I snapped back, unlocking the last lock before leading the way back up through the trap door.

Everyone let the children go first, then the women with young children and so on before finally everyone was in the main hall.
"Alright, my friends should've taken care of the guards and scientists so we should have a clean getaway and if not I'll stay behind to hold anyone off. Stay together, everyone keep an eye on all the kids and the elderly we have to work as a team." I instructed strictly, leading the way down the hall as fast as we could go.

Everyone followed and luckily we hadn't had any issues, that is until we made it outside. After the initial shock of the attack on the farm passed, the guards were fighting back, not wanting to fail at their one job.
"No lethal hits!" I shouted to me team who -in one way or another- let me know they understood.
I led the group of approximately 100 humans into the woods and towards Tsuki's place, keeping my eyes open for anything.

"Alex!" A little girl shouted from the front, closer to me. I paused to look around before glancing back at her.
"Who's Alex?" I asked quietly, wiping the tears from the little girls cheeks, who was probably eight or nine.
"My big sister. Sh-she got out of the cells, but she's not here." The girl replied quietly, scanning the woods desperately.

"It's alright, maybe she'll find us. I mean it shouldn't be too hard. Let's keep moving ok?"
The little girl nodded and took my hand, allowing me to walk with her.
I could see the girl on the brink of tears again as we continued to walk without a sign of her sister and I decided to do the one thing I could think of; I sung to her.
"Hush now, don't be scared. Through this time of darkness. shadow may March, thunders may roar but peace will soon prevail. Through our land, this sacred land nightmares spread confusion. But stand your ground until you've found the strength to light your way."

Everyone else seemed to catch on and quickly joined in, our voices carried among the trees. Some sang to calm their anxiety, some to calm others. Some sang to cry out for their friends and family.
I smiled softly to myself as we continued singing and walking, realizing we should've taken action sooner. I picked up the little girl and whispered the song in her ear like I did to Darius all those years ago.
I faintly heard her cries above the voices resonating in the woods around us before the girl who escaped the farm first burst through the bushes, her eyes wide and frantic as she searched the sea of refugees before they landed on the girl in my arms.

"Rose." The girl -Alex- whispered, as if afraid it was a hallucination.
The girl in my arms perked up immediately and practically jumped from my grasp, running straight for her sister.
"Alex!" She cried, burying her face in the crook of her sisters neck.
'Thank you' Alex mouthed, hugging her sister tight.

A/N WOOOOO SECOND UPDATE IN ONE DAYYYYYYY!!!!!
I'm so proud of myself. That is all, enjoy.
