My favorite was a white blouse that said 'kiss me' and I'd matched with a black skirt, belt with metal holes and a black cap. After trying everything on I walked out with a brand new wardrobe and a grin on my face. "I wish Astoria's clothes were this comfortable! It's like wearing a cloud I'm not even joking." I shocked myself with how excited I was if I'm being honest, but no one seemed to mind, Tsuki was flicking through racks of clothes and Damian was grinning at me like he won the lottery or something. "Yeah, like I said she's the best seamstress in Starstreak." "In the whole world! I've never worn anything like it!" I practically squealed excitedly, worrying myself even more. I never cared about clothes, but now that they're like a second skin I could get used to it.
"Ah, here it is." Tsuki exclaimed, trotting over with a black hoodie. Damian's cheeks grew a bit red as she held it out to me and he looked down. I raised an eyebrow questioningly and took it to see if there was a design and found the word 'Brave' written in bold letters on the front. I slipped it on and pulled the hood over my head with a grin. "I love it, what's it made of?" I asked her, relishing in the warmth and comfort of the hoodie. "This guys feathers." She beamed and put a hand on Damian's shoulder. "Woah really? They're a lot softer than I thought." I mumbled. "Yep!" She replied, popping the 'p'.
She laughed as Damian rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly and i bit back a smile. "This is perfect, thank you." "No problem! Any friend of Damian's is a friend of mine. I got you covered girl." "Alright thanks Tsuki we get it, you're awesome. Let's go before she insists we ride her pegasus together." Damian interjected, gently grabbing my wrist and pulling me to the exit. "She has a pegasus!? For real?!" I asked. "Yeah, now let's go." Damian answered, shaking out his wings as we exited the shop.
"I'll pack up your clothes and bring them to you later!" Tsuki called after us, waving as Damian scooped me up and took off into the sky.

Four months later
It's been months since I arrived in this world, I was more comfortable around the hybridized animals and even got myself a pion, a lion-panther hybrid that I could ride. (The pic above) The ruins where we live is actually quite beautiful despite not having an actual bed. It was a tall grey stone temple with water flowing from the front and into a lake that was sparkling and clean.
Damian's been a big help, with training and keeping me alive. He taught me how to ride my pion, he hunts for our meals and he makes sure no one finds the ruins if they get too close. We've gotten closer as friends as well, we rather do things together than be alone and honestly I didn't mind it. He's my best friend.
"Y'know, standing beside Onyx with the brush just resting on his back isn't going to clean him, right?" Damian questioned with a smirk, pulling me from my thoughts. "Ha ha, yes I know that. I'm just thinking." I replied, beginning to brush through my pion's fur. "Oh no, you were thinking? I better hide." I shot him a glare over Onyx's back and kept brushing. "Just remember this next time you want to help me train."
"You know you love me." He gave me a cheeky grin and rubbed Onyx's head. "On a separate note though I think we should visit the city. You told me you're supposed to find more people right? So where better to look?" "I'm not sure Damian, what if the people realize I'm not from around here?" I asked softly, grabbing the final brush to finish scrubbing my pet. "As long as you don't do anything that would give it away you'll be fine, plus not everyone lives in trees like Tsuki. The trees are on the outskirts of the town to keep people thinking the cliff is just filled with trees." He replied softly.
"Fine fine, how am I supposed to bring Onyx up there?" "There's a pathway for animals that can't fly, also other supernaturals that can't necessarily fly." I quirked an eyebrow at him questioningly but grabbed the towel I had prepared and started drying Onyx. "If something bad happens I'm going to kill you." I threatened. "Sure you will." He mock agreed, patting the animal in front of me before trotting inside to get ready.

A few days later we arrived in the town and honestly it looked a lot like Astoria. I sat on Onyx's back with my hood over my head while Damian led us around town for no particular reason.
"What exactly are we doing?" I asked Damian. "We're going to walk around until we find someone you feel is right to join our merry crew!" He replied, searching the street. "We're are not calling ourselves that, we'll come up with a better name later after we find a few more people." "Fine fine, let's just look then."
After a couple hours we haven't found anyone and decided to head to Tsuki's place. I left Onyx in her barn beside her pegasus and went inside her home. "Make yourselves at home guys, pick any room you'd like and I'll set to work on dinner. And be responsible!" Tsuki suggested, making her way to the kitchen while Damian and I went to the rooms to pick which one we'd get. I picked a room across from Damian's old one and changed into a tank top and leggings before trotting into Damian's room to find him walking out of his en-suite bathroom with a towel around his waist and t-shirt in his hand, his hair tousled and wet from his shower. I blushed and quickly averted my eyes, looking anywhere but him.
"Oh, hey Astrid. Did you need something?" Damian asked, unaware of my predicament. "I-I uh... I was wondering if you wanted to go for a run with me before dinner...." I mumbled awkwardly, fidgeting with the hair tie I brought along. "Sure." He slid into his shirt, walked into the closet and came back out moments later with shorts on before taking my hand and leading me back down the hall. "Hey Tsuki, we're heading out. We'll be back for dinner." "Alright stay safe guys!" Tsuki called from the kitchen. We walked out and began trotting through the woods.
"Tomorrow we can resume the search for more of our future group." I explained as we walked. Before Damian could reply, a new voice joined in, a voice i didn't recognize. "Finally I found you. You owe me for what you put me through. Now, whatever shenanigans y'all are getting yourselves into, I want in too."
