A/N I'm dedicating this chapter to WolfieGalactic for being a great friend and helping me with deciding how to end this chapter, enjoy!

*Third Person POV*

The alarm sounded around the palace as Astrid and her team began the siege. Tsuki flew around as a bat, biting and scratching at any of the guards that came from the west, narrowly dodging an arrow shot her way.
She hissed at the archer and made to attack him next, hoping and praying everyone else was safe as she battled relentlessly.

"Get that stupid bat out of here!" One of the men had shouted to the others, pulling an arrow from his quiver and aiming for Tsuki.
She shifted back momentarily and glares at everyone of them.
"You're king is a fraud! The true heir will be put on the throne and you'll all see the difference he will make!" She shouted before sprinting at the at full speed with her knives in hand, ready to attack.

Skye and Ember had it easier, they battled the less experienced guards to the East and South, but they still fought valiantly and fervently before rushing to help Tsuki, who had been shot in the leg and was still fighting. They all fought together, never backing down despite the wounds they had already received.

Tsuki had been shot with in arrow in the leg, and had a deep cut on her cheek she decided to ignore. Skye had cuts littering her arms, face and legs, the only one that really bothered her was the one the was right above her eye, causing blood to constantly be dripping on her eyelashes despite her already being dead, and she continuously put herself between the others to help keep them safe.
Ember had hardly been touched, thanks to her dragon scales and venom.

The watches out for eachother and made sure no one was fatally wounded on either side, unless it was the only option.
After countless cuts and near misses the finally tied up the last guard -the captain- and stood in front of him.
"What do you know about the kings affairs?" Ember asked, her eyes pitch black.

"It doesn't matter, you're too late. You can't stop him." He growled out, struggling with the chains the girls had put around him. Tsuki hissed.
"We'll see about that." Skye pitched in, seconds before punching him in the nose and pulling the others along to find Astrid and Damian, who weren't doing so well.

Astrid tried every spell in the book, but the king seemed to be immune to them. She hadn't had a scratch on her, thanks to her enchanted necklace, while the king suffered from a few deep cuts, several smaller cuts and even a stab wound in his leg and Damian had a few minor cuts and one deep cut on his arm, only because Astrid insisted she take most of the hits since she'll heal faster.

The battle continued on for what seemed to be forever, cuts were shared and blood was lost. The doors surrounding the throne room ended up locked so no one could bother the final two and even as they fought the could hear the cries of encouragement from their supporters from just beyond the doors.
The fighting went on until two horrid cries of pain filled the mostly empty room, one from the king and one from his assailants. Both crashed to the ground as blood poured from their fatal wounds, giving the last remaining member just moments to say their goodbyes.

*Ember's POV*

As soon as we finished fighting the guards we sprinted as fast as we could to the throne room to find at least a quarter of the humans we had saved just a day before, cheering Astrid and Damian on, giving them words of encouragement as they no doubt fought for their lives.

When the three of us -Skye, Tsuki and I- tried pushing on the door to open it, it didn't budge. Tsuki groaned in annoyance.
"They've locked the blasted door! There's no way to get in there to help unless one of them unlock it and I do not see that happened anytime soon." She explained, gritting her teeth.
"We'll be alright, they'll be alright. We just gotta keep doing what we've been doing and hope for the best." I suggested, no doubt in my mind that my eyes were black as night.

Everyone stood, shouting words of encouragement to two of the people who played a big part in their escape, who they didn't even really know, yet still had the guts to show up to their tormenters home to cheer them on.
My heart swelled with pride in these people, young and old, who decided to risk their lives for the sake of being moral support, knowing they would lose if it ever got physical between them and the kings men. I spotted Rose and Alex among the crowd, cheering the loudest and I couldn't help but smile.

Even in the short hours these people have known us, they came to support us. I saw Tsuki smile softly at the gathering of people in front of us and knew she was thinking the same thing.
Two sharp cries of pain shocked me from my thoughts and I froze, my smile falling.

Two.... Two cries....

The people around us looked back worriedly, hoping we had some sort of answer to tell them what they were all wondering.
The three of us shared a look before beginning to bang our fists on the doors and call for our friends, to hope and pray the door will open in time just this once.

Thoughts of my childhood invaded my brain as I continued to smash my fists on the door as hard as I could, showing me the very memories I wanted to stay buried deep, deep, inside. I couldn't help the tears the escaped my eyes as a single, sorrow filled sob reached my ears, telling me that the fight was over, but with a cost too big for some to bare.

We had won, but the question remained, what do we do now?

A/N heh heh heh..... don't kill me......... But who died?
