Abigail stood up all night watching through the window and her host till the day began to break.

She leaned and poked her head a little outside the window, closed her eyes, and breathed in the air.

"Everything is different here, where is this place? This is sure different from home." She said to herself.

She opened her eyes as the sun began to come up. Then turned to look down at her host sleeping on the floor, and stepped outside.

She stood in the corridor placing her hand on the bricks as she leaned on.

"Smells like fresh water and death at the same time. There's dark magic here."

Abigail whirled back at the sound of footsteps moving closer to her.

She looked confused when she saw Micheal leaning at the doorpost with his arms folded against his chest wearing a huge grin on his face.

"I have never seen anyone this beautiful before. Who could she be?" He said inside himself.

A smile curved out from the corner of his mouth as the thought ran through his mind, and his eyes traced down from her eyes to her nose and stopped on her lips.
"Normally I wake up before any woman." he said, "This is the first time someone woke up before me." He released his arms and moved closer to her.

"I couldn't sleep. I'm not used to your bed." Abigail tucked her hair behind her ear and turned back to the view.

Micheal scoffed in disgust. " You telling me I slept on the floor for nothing?"

"Take no offense sire, this place is just strange to me.
I want you to wake up to bid your farewell sire."

"Farewells! Do you have a place you're going to, or someone you're looking for? Maybe I can help you. I grew up in this town, I know almost every family." He said as he leaned his back on the wall beside her and folded his leg with his feet facing the wall.

"I thank you for your help last night, but I should be on my way -"

"Shiiiii!!!" Micheal signaled with his finger to his lips. "Come in, come in," he whispered, grabbing her wrist.

But as his hand touched hers, there was a feeling of electricity that jolted between them, but Micheal did not pay attention to it.

He quickly rushed her inside and hid her behind the door by pushing her back against the wall.

His face was inches away from hers. He leans forward slowly with their eyes locked with each other.

Abigail's heart began to race faster as she looked at him through her long-filled lashes and she began to breathe way too hard.

What is happening to me? They both said within themselves in unison.

"Stay quiet!" Micheal whispered.

"MICHEAL!!! MICHAEL!!!" The voice came from outside, with voices of other people.

"Are you sure he is here?" A woman said.

"Yes am sure, he said he was coming here last night."

"Whatever happens don't come out and don't make a sound," Micheal whispered with his eyes dancing around her eyes before he leaned backward slowly, and moved to the door.

He glanced at her one more time before he opened the door and stepped out then closed the door behind him.

"Michael!!" The woman climbs the steps towards him, "Do you not hear me calling out your name?"

"I was sleeping mother." He wiped his face with his hands. "What is it, why are you here?" Looking at the people behind his mother. "What is going on Mother, why are these people here with you?"

"Something happened last night, do you not see it?" she said.

"What happened Mother, I do not see anything."

"Something very strange happened last night, a light shunned through the entire village, with heavy thunder. Do you not hear it?"

"I saw the light, but I thought it was going to rain. We see thunder and lightning every time, why are you bothered, and is that why all these people come out?

"You know it's not safe to be in these woods, Mother." He raised his head from his mother to the others.
"People listen, I was here all through the night, nothing strange happened, it was just a thunderstorm. Nothing to be frightened about!"

They looked at one another, and one of them said, "If he said nothing to frighten about, then nothing to frighten about. Let us all go home." He said and waved to the others.

Michael's mother looks at the people and back to her son. "Son, are you sure you did not see anything?"

"Nothing mother, don't worry." He gave her a reassuring look and placed his hand on her shoulder.

She looked behind him through the door and turned her face towards him. "I'm not worried. I just want you to tell me if you see something."

"Why are you so particular about seeing something? Should I have seen something?"

She looked back into the house suspiciously. "Is there someone in there?"

Michael looked back to the door and back to her. "No!" He shook his head. "Don't worry yourself mother." He turned her from the shoulder to the others

"I will go out and look everywhere," He began to walk her down. "If I find something strange, I will be sure to let you know."

The woman stopped and looked back again suspiciously then climbed down to join the others.

Micheal turned back and stood at his haunt balcony, watching them as they walked away.

They walked a little further then stopped not too far from the house, but far enough that Micheal could not see nor hear them.

"Are you sure your son did not see anything come out from that thunder?" One of the elders said, looking towards the direction they came from.

Michael's mother looked back towards Michael's wooden house and back to him. "He swore he did not."

"But you can sense the energy coming from that house; can't you?"

"I'm not sure, but If my son said he did not see anything, he did not see anything. We all know Michael from a child, he cannot lie even if he wanted to. Isn't that what always got him into trouble?"

"We are not saying his lying," He replied looking at others and then back to her. "but something is strange around there. We can all tell, the energy is strong. We need to check."

"What if it is nothing, and we are getting ourselves trouble for nothing." Another elder said.

Michael's mother glanced at their faces. "Something came out from that thunder!"

"What do we do now?"

"We wait." Michael's mother replied.

"We wait??? How can we wait? If the prophecy is true. The end of all of this has come. We need to know what it is and act fast before it kills us all."

"Don't let us panic yet. Whatsoever it is, it will show itself sooner or later, let all go home and spread the news to everyone." Michael's mother said.

"What news? "

"Tell every witch that needs to know; We have a new player in town."

"YES, LEADER!" They all said in unison and bowed their head to Michael's mother.

She whirled back suspiciously before she started walking.
