"Gorge Gilbert!" Anna said as she saw Gorge approaching her, "You are the last person I expected to see here tonight, I would have assumed you would be in the woods looking for your witch."   With her hands wrapped around her with her silk black scarf.

The look on Gorge's face says Anna was the last person he wanted to be talking to. Both of them never see eye to eye from the beginning, and that is probably why the townspeople choose Gilbert to be second to Anna. Choosing a woman to lead SALAM was not an easy decision, it was a long battle before they came to that conclusion. The elders of the town choose Anna while some of the townspeople choose Gorge, — of course, he bribed most of them to choose him. They all decide to let both of them lead, but Gorge is second to Anna.

Gorge Gilbert hated the idea from the start, the thought of him being second to a woman was not an idea he was willing to entertain; he thought in due time, he would get rid of Anna and take her place, but Anna was hard to manipulate and certainly not easy to kill.

That is one of the reasons the witch chooses her to lead them. — Besides, having the town leader as the leader of the witch's coven... Grant the witches a lot of access.

His eyebrows wrinkle into a harsh frown. He did not bother to hide his disgust for Anna. "And miss all the fun... No way. I will leave the woods for the children, like Michael." Anna's jaw lifted at the mention of her son. "I don't see him around. I suppose he's out looking for his lover." Gorge said, with a wicked grin on his face.

Anna's eyes narrowed behind him and saw Cara, Marcy, and Fraya behind the tree. Cara signed with her head to Anna, telling her over here. Anna glanced back at Gorge,
"I agree. The woods are not for cowards. You should have school your boys better not to go near where their father's claws cannot reach. I'm sure the girl help you teach them some manners." Gorge's face wrinkled, it was almost like fire was coming out from his ears and nose. Anna knew she hit a nerve. "I suppose they are home tending to their wounds?" A wicked smile curved out from Anna's face. " I will leave you to enjoy the feast and tell them about it since they can't make it." She removed her feet, took a few steps closer to him, and stood beside him, facing the opposite direction where Gorge turned his back, their ears almost touching each other.
"Mr Gilbert." She tilted her head with her eyebrow raised, looking towards Cara, then walked behind him towards the girls.

Gorge whirled back to Anna. I will get rid of you Anna Garrett. You wench. He said to himself, turned, and started walking to the feast.

The look on Anna's face was curious as she walked towards the girls. "What happened!!!" She asked, as she spread her hands in gesture, — what happened?

"My leader!!!" Marcy said breathing heavily.

"What happened to you, why are you all looking like you've seen a ghost?"

"My leader, something is here." Anna's eyes narrowed at them. "Something powerful, more than anything we've ever seen before," Fraya added.

"What did you see?" Anna asked with her eyes relaxed and at the same time curious.

"It is not what we see, it is what we did not see," Mercy added, glancing at Fraya and Cara and then back to Anna.

"What do you mean?"

"My familiar is gone," Cara replied.

"Gone where?"

"It was destroyed."

"Impossible! How? "

"That was what we don't understand, My leader. Something strange was in Michael's haunt. There is something here in Salem. Something powerful!"
