Joel moved closer to the entrance and stood glaring at the door with the armies stood behind him.
With shocking fear they all looked up as another thunder stroke loudly the cloud clearing off and the darkness began to moved and the blue sky appeared.
Another thunder struck from behind and the army groaned in fear, as they allied backward.
"Are you looking for me?"
They turned around, and I could see the panic in their eyes: which was strange to me because we were taught to fight and die, but I could understand their fear: the ring on my finger carries the source of all of our magic, knowing that I could access the power... Scares me myself.
Joel walked past them and stood in front of me, he blinked in surprise, and with a smug and dry smile tightened his lips. "What an entry."
I smiled back, brushing my hands together as if dusting them off. "What can I say, I couldn't come through that door knowing you will have some surprises waiting for me, darling." A flash of anger runs through his face at the sound of 'Darling'. "It has been a long day Joel and I just don't have time for this."
"Neither am I love. Surrender yourself and all this will be over."
I scoffed lightly. "And why will I do that?"
"So I will consider not killing you." He said without dropping his steady gaze.
"Charming." Wearing my bold smile as I walked closer to him one step after another till I was standing right in front of him, to search his dark non-remorseful eyes. "You can try darling, you know I always love a challenge..."
I paused when I glanced behind Joel's shoulder and caught sight of a fire coming from behind him. Immediately I grabbed Joel by the wrist and pushed him out of the way while I shielded myself with the ring, and it consumed the fire.
The force from the fire threw me off balance, and I leaned backwards, lips parted at the rush of power I just consumed and savored it. As the fire entered into the ring the power flowed into me. I opened my eyes, and immediately the fire reflect in my eyes.
Raising a surprised expression eyebrows, looking Joel on the floor and back to Joanna, whom sent the fire, from the magic wand.
I supposed when left with the ring, the elders of Mystic World must have come together to donate their energy into that wand in other to bring me down. That means they must have known the answers to me.
"If I don't know any better," I said, moving closer to Joanna, one step at a time with the fire glowing in my eyes. "I will say you wanted to kill two birds with one stone. Joanna, daughter of Mary Poitiers."
Joanna was shaking to her boot, "Impossible!" She whispered in fear, between the panic attack she was currently having.
"You came prepared!" I smiled deviously. "More prepared than your captain right here." Glancing at Joel whom was looking disappointed and shocked on the floor.
"Or maybe," I glanced at Joel again and nodded, "this was your plan all along," slightly looked away impressively as I laughed loudly. "You know I will save you, and you know that fire is deadly."
I could not believe he would betray me again. I nodded in disappointment and betrayed, well what do I expect? He does come here to kill me... And this is not the first time he would be taking me for a fool.
I nodded with dry smug curled around my lips, "Sorry to disappoint you, darling, the fire is not deadly to me. As you can well see," lifting my lashes for the flame to glow brighter.
We called it 'Fire of the Sun'. No one, mortal or immortal as ever survive that fire. The fire has only been used once before over a thousand years ago, when the ring fell into the hand of a tyrant who ruled over Mystic World and enslave everyone. He could control anyone with just his thoughts... No matter how powerful that person was, they will bow to his will. The only way to get the ring off his fingers was to burn him to ashes and the ring fell off his hand.
They must have thought I didn't know about it because this history was not told to us, my grandmother told me this story. I believe the elders came together and told the army this story maybe when no one was willing to go up against me. I have been wondering how they get this much army to come down to earth.
I glanced at Joel and back to Joanna. "There's more, isn't it?" I whispered and Joanna looked away. I glanced at Joel slightly, and then he blinked. I knew there must be more to the fire because of their boldness few seconds ago and the surprise on their faces after using the wand.
I nods and moved closer to Joanna then immediately grabbed her head with both of my hands. "How about I take the answer from your memory." I looked into her eyes and Joanna was compelled immediately to gave me permission into her memory. In less than a minute, I freed her and Joanna was gasping for air.
I closed my eyes opened them back, and smiled with the corner of my mouth. "So," I turned to Joel, who was up on his feet. "You have just one shot at this and you blew it? Interesting." I shook my head in pity. "Now that the source of your confidence is gone, you will need another strategy darling.
I will let go of this, and let all of you return home. That is the only choice am giving you. But. If you come after me again." I glared at all of them. "I will kill you all." I turned opposite direction then face them again. "I will hold on to this, it will be of good use in the future." I was talking about the fire I now consumed, as the fire reappeared again in my eyes, and I walked away.

"We have to go back home. Now!" Joanna said in fear. Couple of minutes later, after I left.
"We are not going anywhere. We will finish this." Joel replied her.
"That if she did not finish us in the process." She added sharply.
Joel turned to the army. "We are solders," Spoken as loud as he could in anger. "We fight for our right and for our people. This wench holds what belongs to our families. She weld the source of all our power, without that ring back in Mystic World, our days are but number, without a true Queen welding that power, all of our power will fade away along with our immortality. We fight and we die for what we believe in. We are here to take back our right from the tyrant. Are you with me!!!"
The army matched their feet on the ground. "AYE!." He turned and faced Joanna. "We won't make it back if we keep fighting each other. We need to stick together to defeat Abigail."
Joanna lowers her head in agreement. "How do we defeat her captain. She consumed the fire inside her body and she still live." Shaking her head in fear. "I'm scared," she whispered. "How do we defeat her? She's too powerful now."
"I don't know, but this is what I know; she's messing with ancient magic she do not understand. One way or the other it will destroy her, we just have to be there when it does. The ring has never left our world before, it's just a matter of time. It will consume her, and she will have no choice but to remove it."
"We just have to wait it out?" Joanna added like a question, shaking her head. "But there are still some unanswered questions," She glanced at the House of Prophecy entrance. "I don't think we should sit on our defense."
Joel turned back and looked into the house of prophecy. "What was she doing here?" tilted her head in agreement. "Let go in and find out."
Michael was still inside.
