The last three weeks have been hard. We buried Liam next to the other fallen heroes. We managed to build the tree and already its covered with amazing messages to fallen family members or friends. The amount of people we've welcomed in is amazing. The amount of feedback we've gotten for the tree is absolutely amazing.

So many people agree that it should be the mascot of the 2nd Mass. It showed that yes people did fall down but no matter what our love will always stay strong and we will never back down.

The hunt for Karen and the others are still in order. Of course not that many people agreed to help but those who have been affected by her and have seen her at the worst have signed up. We take turns in groups. Day and night shifts around the border of the camp and a little further to see if any are watching or planning an attack. Many have thought about someone being a mole, like Hal was for them. Tom and Weaver both agreed that was too dangerous.

"Hey, coming for breakfast?" I sat up from my bed and made my way to breakfast with Ben. Things have gotten better, I'd say.

"Finally, thought you two weren't going to make it. We all know those teenage days are the worst with the feelings of others" Tom smacked Hal over the head and chuckled.

"I remember your teenage days Hal, The worst of my life...I'm kidding," They laughed and chucked bread at each other.

"Isn't this lovely?" I looked up and saw my dad."Problem? You know I always stay with the Masons." I snapped back.

"You're my daughter, You will have dinner with me tomorrow. Enough of this silly game you play with Ben. It's time to grow up and move on up"

" Me? Me grow up? I think you need to look in the weird ass mirror of yours and realise that you were not in life at all when I was younger, why should you be here now? You put your own daughter in hospital and I didn't see you at my bed holding my hand like Ben. I didn't see you when Karen was nearly killing me and ruining everything that I had worked for. Ben was the one holding my hand and giving me help and directions on how to get better. Not you! So before you start calling your orders I think you need to realise something. I maybe your daughter, You may be my father. But until you start acting like a dad. I will not treat you like one or call you dad. Become a man and a dad first. Try and sallow your pride for your daughters happiness?"

"I think that is your cue to leave Pope." He scoffed.

"I'm not leaving without my daughter. Understand Mason." Tom stood up followed by Hal and Ben.

"I think you better leave Pope. I don't think you want your little crew to see you get beat up by your daughter and her boyfriends family now do you?" He walked away mumbling something along the lines of that he'll get me back. Try it.

After we ate, we all went to the square and talked about all kinds of things. We spoke about how our life was like before this and what we would do if it stopped. We went round and asked questions about who we miss the most.

"So Hayley? Who do you miss?" I looked around and met Pope's eyes in the corner.

"Dad!" Ben shouted at Tom.

"No, Ben it's alright. It's time." I took a deep breath. "My mum. I mean she practically raised four children on her own. We never had anyone else apart from her. My Gran didn't want to know her since she wanted to raise me and my brothers up alone because she always said "I'll find a way to provide for you all" I mean when Dan's dad came in to our lives it was different but my mum. She still proved something that nobody else would, She raised us up to be proper. To be nice no matter what. To show respect unless they treat you like crap then you show your true colours."

I wipped the tears from my eyes. "She was the best thing to have every happen to me. My mum never treated me less than what I deserved. I mean I just remember seeing her face. That cold expression, I swear I saw a tear roll down her face before my brother pulled me away. She had my brother wrapped in her arms, seeing my mum there and I couldn't do anything about it. Seeing her lie there and have that hopeless lifeless body. " I sighed, "I just miss her so much" I looked up to where my dad was. Figured he would leave.

"Well it's getting late, Hayley that was beautiful. She would be proud of you." Tom stood up. "Let's all head in?" Most people stood up and followed Tom. Others walked their own way.

*The next day*

"Yes, I understand, but this sighting of Karen surely will give us the advantage? The easy way out? Right, No I...Yes, look, She's still sleeping. Please. " I opened my eyes to find Hal and Ben talking about Karen.

"Ben. We need to tell her. If Weaver gets a hold of this information. He will not let us kill her. He will do it. Tell your girlfriend to wake up and get ready. I'm not missing a chance to shove a knife down her throat. K?"

I got up and headed into our bathroom and washed my face, Ben walked in and started talking about how two people have spotted Karen and told Hal, which meant that Hal thought he should tell us so we could go with him and see what it's all about.

We got ready and headed for the front to meet Hal. Tom spotted Ben and started asking 20 questions."Tom, Ben wanted to take my out today for a couple day? Hal and Maggie are coming along. I'll keep them out of trouble" He chuckled but let us go. I hate lying.

We all walked through mass amounts of trees and broken down cars. I's strange how something like this can change so many lives and nearly wipe out the entire human race. So many tragedies that the human race has done and losing a war to aliens is how we'll be remebered. We might have messed up a lot of things and we've had a lot of mistakes and we've never really done something right. Still, we should be remebered for something that we loved putting together, love and peace. Not hate and war. I mean by the end of WWII nobody even knew what they were fighting over. War doesn't fix anything. It causes more damage than it fixes. It's just stupid. Lives being lost because we fight with bombs and guns.

"BE QUIET." We turned our heads to deep forest. We got on our knees and looked at the figure in the trees.

"IF. They find us. And they will. You do not tell them. Understand? Make sure the four I want. I get. DO NOT. Let me down" We all stayed still. Waiting for someething to happen. Nothing.

I turned to the rest. "Look, I know everyone is trying to help and kill Karen finally. But whoever she is talking about seems like they're gonna be dead within a couple of days. We have no idea what the hell is going on. We need to tell your dad Hal. This is way to serious to the four of us to hold under the mat. We tell Tom. Okay?"

"Tell Tom what?" We turned around and saw Weaver.

Oh uh.
