"Let's celebrate" Liam looked at me and walked off, before anyone could stop me I went after him.

"You are making the biggest mistake of your life you know that? He won't be that dream dad you always wanted Lee, He is gonna mess you around like the scum bag he is"

"What about you? Huh? You told me you'd always be there for me, When I was 5 remember that? We both made a promise that we would never judge anyone! Do you think I wanted this? To kick Dan's dad out of the camp? The person that raised me? NO, I didn't why should Dan have to suffer and have no dad like us?"

"We had a dad didn't we? The person that gave us ice cream on a Saturday morning. The person that sang to you when you cried Hayley. The man that treated you like his own! The one that gave you support through the tattoos even though he wasn't with you. The man that hit that lad because he said something wrong. THAT MAN IS OUR DAD" He shouted at me, tears falling down his face. "The man that held mum when our brother died. He was there for us. Holding us. Keeping us safe. That man is our dad Hayley. Not Pope!" He stormed off before I had the chance to stop him. He knew he was right. But I couldn't let him win again.

"He's right you know, Pope may be your biological father but he was never there" I looked up to see my mum.

"You are kidding right? You told him if he came near us you'd get the cops. Mum why did you do that?"

"Because I knew you'd act like this. You'd blame everyone just because you wanted a normal childhood"

"My brother is dead. You are getting this right? I have not had chance to grieve. I can't let Dan see me like this. You died mum. You left us, you said you'd be there. How many more promises does this family need to break before there is no family" She disappeared. I was probably going insane, talking to her. But it keeps me sane.

I walked back to camp ignoring everyone who called me out wanting my help. I walked straight to my bunk, 5 minutes later I heard Ben come in.

Since my family split, Tom let us share a bedroom again. It was nice to be with someone who actually cared for me.  But a part of me felt like he was judging me in some way. I knew that he didn't agree with me but who did? I was an outcast with a wild mind. I have to do what's best for my little brother and getting rid of the venom in his life was the way to do it. Plus he spends most of his time with Tom or Pope. A little bit of time with Weaver. He has plenty of male role models. But it wouldn't be the same I knew it wouldn't. He missed him, and so did Nat but I guess we don't always get what we want.

"TAKE COVER" I heard Weaver scream, then a bang, Ben grabbed my hand, we ran to find Tom and the rest. He was giving orders out to everyone shouting at us where to go and how to attack, Pope grabbed my hand and dragged me back just as one of the mechs shot at us. He raised his gun to shoot but it was blown up before we could react. He covered me, I watched as everyone took cover, people taking the adults and children back to the underground bunker. But I wasn't moving till I found Matt, Dan and Nat. I would die before I let anything happen to them. Nothing would take their childhood from them. Nothing. Before Pope could put me in the bunker I ran with Hal. He caught up and pushed me into a building that was away from enemy lines.

"What the hell do you think you're doing exactly?" Pope gritted through his teeth..

"Going finding my brother. I've lost my youngest, I'm sure as hell not gonna lose Dan too. Don't try and stop me" He just chuckled and walked off in the same direction as some girl. I asked people if they had seen Dan or Liam, some told me they went left, others told me they went into the bunker and the rest didn't have a clue. Well that  helped me alot, But I don't know something inside me knew they where safe, the deep dark side knew they needed help. Just once could I not have my fam-
