Apparently the last couple of weeks the elders have been making plans about the entire 'catching Karen and finally killing her' I'm sure we tried to do that before. Look where that got us. She's still alive and kicking. I want nothing more to get out of this place and finally go on walks around the camp. I mean I love spending time with my dad. There is only so much someone can take. Like damn. If I hear another story about his life before this, I might actually slip into a long sleep.

I sat up in bed, pulling my hair tie out of my hair and letting my drained hair flow on my shoulders. Before this started my hair was orange and pink, but as I haven't stuck with dying it. It's drained to my natural brown colour. I really need some hair dye. Like ASAP. Wish me luck on finding some.  I loved my brown hair but I looked like my mother.

"Wow, You look so much like her. It's uncanny" I turned around, I saw my dad standing in the corner. I smiled and turned around to grab my gun. He stopped me from walking out. "I don't want you to go on this mission. Look. She's hurt you before. I don't want you out there. You nearly died last time and well. I don't exactly want you to get hurt again. And I know that you're going to argue with me. But in this case I am the adult and you've always wanted me to start being a dad, so here I am. I'm being a father, You are staying here with Anne and looking after the people that are staying okay?" I nodded. "Glad that's settled. We'll be back before sundown, hopefully, If not, I'll see you soon." He kissed my forehead. He walked out of the room and into the street. I followed straight after him.

"Pope." He turned around and looked me in the eye. "Be safe yeah?" He chuckled and nodded.

Due to the fact that she wanted me, Ben, Hal and Maggie. We had to stay back. Meaning that more people who had never gone on missions. Were about t see what really happens. Was I nervous? Of course I was. It wasn't the fact that I was going to be with three people that I wouldn't normally stay around, it was the fact that Karen was ruthless. She knew how to push people's buttons. She knew exactly what to do to get a reaction. Something about this entire thing scared me. But I don't know what scared me the most. My dad going off to his death or that she knew the 'leaders' of the 2nd Mass are going to kill her once and for all. This entire thing just knocked my nerves. It just seemed to be ending very fast and I think that's what scared me the most. But I trusted all of them to at least be smart with her.

"Hey, Anne needs you in the hospital.." I nodded and followed this unknown person. We reached the hospital like place. I saw Anne with her heads in her hands. Tears streaming down her face. I told the person to leave us. He nodded and walked out. Leaving just me, Anne and other patients in the room.

"Anne, are you okay? You need my help?" More questions. Great Hayley. Just great.

She turned and looked at me. Her eyes red, Oh no.

"It's Lexi. She's gone. She left, She's all grown up. Body wise, but she's gone to fight with them. For them. She told me that they are her family. Me and Tom are nothing. How can this happen? She was just an innocent 7 year old that made everything bad disappear. She's never shown any signs of leaving. She loved it here. Didn't she? I must be the worst parent ever. Both of my children leaving me. How am I even allowed to be a mom?" I looked at her pacing around the room, Bumping into things. You could tell she wasn't in any fit state to be in the hospital.  She stopped pacing and looked at me. "I need to tell Tom. He needs to know. He can't go on this mission. Lexi is missing"

Well not really. She's gone fighting the battle. Okay maybe she is.

"Anne, lets think for a minute. People just go out for a day or two. She knows the dangers of this. The war. She's not dumb Anne, she'll be back. We can't tell Tom. He's already busy with this Karen thing. When he comes back, we'll tell him, and I'll tell him it was my idea of not telling him. I'll take the blame."She nodded. "Let's get you in bed, You can sleep and we'll talk about this in the morning or later on okay?" She nodded and walked to hers and Tom's space. I walked out, leaving a trustworthy person in charge and told them to get me instead of Anne. She needed a few days to collect her feelings and get back to normal again. I walked out and headed over to the team that going on the mission.

"Hey" Some turned around, A few 'hey's' were heard.

"Hey, Didn't think you'd come and see us" I smiled at Tom.

"Well, I just wanted to tell you guys to be safe. Don't go killing each other. Okay dad" Both of them nodded and laughed, They left. Leaving Anne in charge, of course I would take over. I told the camp and they understood that she needed a few days break so the four of us, meaning Ben,Hal me and Maggie were going to be sharing the role until Weaver and Tom came back. Of course some had doubts about 'kids' being in charge. I guess we have to prove them wrong.

*3 days later*

"Hey, Hayley. We have news on the team that went on the mission." I waved the person in.

"Guys, we have news" They all stopped talking. Ben had realised that Lexi had gone missing when he saw Anne talking to me about her and she was hoping she was safe. Of course he had to tell Hal, which lead to Maggie knowing and Matt. We had all of them in the office discussing if we could track her down.

"They were spotted arriving in a town just before this one yesterday. We assume that Karen is dead. The smiles on their faces said enough" I nodded and dismissed him. We all went back to planning.

We heard cheering and laughter coming from outside, We all walked out to find the team back and telling people stories already. We all turned to Tom standing on the stage thingy.

"We are delighted to announce. Karen is officially dead. The war between her and the young adults of this group has gone on for too long and it is ended. We are all safe from her at least. She will no longer terror the people of the 2nd Mass." Everyone cheered and clapped.

It's about time.
