It was mine and Ben's first patrol together I was nervous, but my Dads words kept swimming through my head. "Don't give up" The first time he said that was when I was riding my bike for the first time, and I kept falling off, and now look I'm fighting off aliens, he would be so proud(!) As I sat in the food court and waited for what seemed like forever till I saw Tom,Maggie,Hal,Ben and Matt, I stood up and followed them outside, I stayed at the back and quiet the conversation seemed like family only, Matt walked next to me. 

"Hi" He smiled that cheeky grin. 

"Hi, so long have you been doing this?" Asking nervously.

"A while, My mum got killed by the aliens, so whenever I get the chance to kill one its what I do, Ben doesn't like me doing it same with dad, but they hurt my brother and killed my mum. I wanna kill them, Dad says he doesn't want me to grow up fast, but it's happening" I nodded.

"You remind me off my brother Craig, same hair, same thoughts, if he was doing this right now, you'd be best friends,"

"What happened to him?"

"Well, I was walking home from school, with my friend and her boyfriend, when they disappeared I thought nothing of it, so I walked all the way home, when this crash came I ran home, when I got home, my mum was holding Craig, he was young but he had heart problems so anything could make him jump and he could have a heart attack, Anyway, my I was looking for Jason , I couldn't find him, Liam my older brother, was trying to get my mum off craig and hide, another crash later me and Liam hid somewhere in the living room, They also killed my mum. Me and Liam set out on our own, he is a year older then me, so its not a big deal.

He disappeared, I made my way down here, met you guys and also met an awesome dude,!" He looked at me, 

I could tell the guys in front were listening,Matt looked at me, 

"Who's this awesome, Dude, ? Is it Ben? My dad? Hal? Weaver?"I laughed. 

"Matt it's you, but yeah Ben is awesome, Hal is cheeky, Weaver's scary, and funny, And your Dad is soo nice" They turned around. I waved. 

"Maggie, is like the older sister, that's dating the jock, who has an math lover and an awesome little bro," 

"Come on Hayley you don't think about Ben like that, You think something else"He gave me a cheeky grin.

"Hal, leave the girl alone," Maggie said looking at me.

Tom turned around he looked at Matt and me, he smiled.

"So Hayley, how is your shooting skills?" 

"Good, I guess I don't really,I'd say they are good, but you might have a different opinion. 

"Can you shoot?"

"Yeah"

"Good, that's all I need to know" 

"Erm okay?"

"Hey Leigh, me and you are on patrol till the morning hope you can last" Ben said walking next to me. I nodded my head.

After a couple of minutes we heard a sound it was like a moaning in pain, sound. They had their guns ready, I put mine up, I looked over at Ben, He seemed happy that this was happening,
