"The moon? Now we're talking crazy. The moon is a billion miles away, how do you expect us to just zap ourselves to the moon and break this? Now I know you've not got any sleep." Hal tried explaining.
"Maybe, but listen. We break the barrier and we're free to get others. We can at least try."
"Trying is all we've been doing! We've been trying to fight them. Trying to save people. Trying to get to safety away from them. I'm sick of trying. I just want to do for once." Everyone let father and son argue for a while until someone quietly broke the silence.
Dad. Hal why are you arguing? Please stop arguing"
We all turned to see Matt standing at the back, as much as he's grown up he still hates his family arguing. Tom walked over to him and bent down, "Matt, listen, we're not arguing. We're just having a very heated discussion, we're planning some things and seeing which one is better. That's all, we're fine, I promise, why don't you and Hayley go for a walk and I'll see you later okay?" I lead Matt out of the room & begin walking with him, times like this I wish I could take this kid to a shopping centre or somewhere else than this place.

"Are my dad and Hal going to keep arguing? It's all they've been doing for ages and I don't want them to fall out Hayley," he began crying and clutching my side. I remember the twins being scared when my father used to come by and visit us, they would always run to my room or my brothers.

"Look Matt, I wish I could tell you that they'll be fine and everything will be fixed. All I know is that they love you and each other and I know that they will be fine in the end, please don't cry okay, they're going to be back to normal before you even know"
I took him back to his bedroom as such for a nap, I told him a story about how my life was before, he laughed at the fact that when I was six I fell out of a tree and looked like a monkey swinging in the tree.
I finally got him to sleep and I began walking back around to the meeting area, I heard my dad talking to Tom.
"Look, we don't always see eye to eye but now I'm telling you. Do not involve my daughter in this. I'm not asking. I'm telling you, I'm her father and what I say goes. You're lucky I'm not banning her from seeing your alien son. I'm in charge and whatever I say goes"
What the hell.
