A lot has happened in the month of us killing Karen. We all split up and were forced to live alone. They put borders up. We couldn't get out. They've got us caged. Like we're the dangerous ones. Like we're animals. I managed to grab Danny before we were forced inside a town with crumbled buildings and fallen people. Walking through you can see how much this war has affected people and not just the young children. The adults are taking on a lot of responsibilities. Most of the children we have don't have parents. Or if they do, they never see them. They're always busy talking to Tom about things and making sure they take turns guarding some of the buildings that we've managed to restore for some of the families at the camp.
Life will never be the same. People might think it might go back to normal but it won't. Life as we know it will never be the same. I see how it effects people, the tear stained faces to the crumbling smiles. There's always so much to do and I don't think people will last to see us win this war.

I still think there is every chance of us winning it. It's possible, I know it is. Life might be throwing us some stones and yes maybe we are being knocked down. Does that mean we have to stay down?

No. We fight back with every fibre in our bodies. It will hurt, but we can't give up. Nothing will compete with the feeling of winning. I think that will win everyone over. We finally showed people the human race isn't so bad. Maybe after all history will not repeat itself and all the hurt we put each other through will be a page in a history book of just a little section. Nobody who hurts people should be remembered. It's exactly what they want.

Tom has had a few ideas, fighting back with their own weapons. Even Pop..I mean my dad can't work them out, some days we just sit and talk about what we would change if we had the choice. Most of them would change the war, families alive, or meeting their idols before all of this. Personally, I wouldn't change the war, or anything. My mum died being a hero to my brother, Liam died protecting his friends and his family. The war has brought harm and loss to us all, but it made us stronger. Everyone in the world were scared of each other, we all hated something about someone but we never told them. We never looked each other in the eyes and told the truth, we never confessed how we felt, it was just a word here and a word there. We were more than happy to talk about them behind their backs but when they did it about other people. It's just a world full of hypocrites.
Maybe this war can fix it. Just maybe
