During lunch, Jeremy and Emilia just kept glaring at Blake and Aurelia... respectively. I had to stop it.
"Ok can someone tell me what's up?" I say gaining their attention... finally
"There's nothing to talk about", Emilia said
"No. There's everything to talk about." Jeremy said quickly. "Aurelia is being forced" He continues... again with Aurelia.
"She's not being forced. That's a rumour" Emilia chimed in
"Please. Look at her!" He says pointing to Aurelia
Wait...what does he mean forced
"What do you mean forced?" I ask furrowing my eyebrows.
"Rumour went around saying Aurelia and Blake's relationship is just acting" Jeremy explained
"What do you mean?" I asked
"You know...like a PR stunt." He continued "They it's so their families remains allies. Rich people and their stuff. But it's clear that she doesn't like it."
"She does. Aurelia will do anything for Blake... even if it means betraying someone" Emilia added
"I'm sorry what?" I asked... again
"Emilia and Aurelia used to be close friends but then Aurelia spread the news about sick mum... clearly being forced." Jeremy explained.
"Ok who forced her J? She was the only one who knew.?" She exclaimed
"How did news about your mom wreck your friendship, that makes no sense." I say sipping my smoothie.
"My mom was bedridden...so she had to use adult diapers. Aurelia found out and spread word that my mom's a little. She insulted my mom...and broke my trust." Emilia explained.
"I'm... sorry about your mom." I say
"It's fine. She's better now. It's been a year" Emilia said
"And she makes the best chicken soup!" Jeremy exclaimed grinning
"Yeah she does" Emilia said high fiving Jeremy
"O...k"
"Anyways my point is, Aurelia's not being forced. She's just a bitch" she continues
"She's not a bitch. Don't insult her" Jeremy says
"I honestly don't get what you see in her" she retorted
"You won't get it"
"Ok... enough of this. Let's change the topic" I say getting tired of their bickering
"Ok. Lee you made up your mind about the party?" Jeremy asks
"Ugh... anything but that"
"C'mon we've given you enough time" Emilia said
"Fine. But no drinking"
"C'mon man. Your tolerance is above the sky"
"But yours isn't" I retorted
"Ok so we're going!" Emilia squealed earning gazes from everyone in the cafeteria
"Was that too loud" she asked
" Nah. Only Jupiter could hear you" I say chuckling earning a nudge from Emilia.
The rest of lunch went ok. Though I couldn't help but notice Aurelia's glances in my direction.
After lunch I went to my locker...after Blake's left of course when someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around and saw Aurelia.
"Hey" she said shyly
"Hey" I reply coldly. It's not her, it's me
"I jus...I just wanted to thank you. For what you did earlier" she says shyly
"It's cool."
"But please don't tell anyone about it. Please?" She said looking desperate
"It's cool but why the... moment?" I ask curious. Were the rumours true? Was that why she wanted to let it out?
"It's personal. Just don't tell anyone" she says and turned around to leave.
"Oh and..." She turns around "we have cheer practice after school. You can...come if you want"
"Nah... I'll pass"
"Worth a shot" she turns and leaves
